Lil John made a surprise appearance at the DNC delegate roll call for Georgia, and the results were hysterical

Lil Jon at the DNC: not on our bingo card!

During Tuesday night’s delegate roll call for the Democratic National Convention, the state of Georgia announced its votes for Kamala Harris in the most entertaining way possible.

As it was Georgia’s turn to cast its delegate for Harris, rapper Lil Jon made his way down the stairs at the United Center in Chicago to the tune of his DJ Snake hit “Turn Down for What” before the tune switched to his legendary song “Get Low.”

If you’re wondering if Lil Jon somehow turned the line “To the window, to the wall!” into “VP Harris, Governor Walz!” for the DNC crowd, the answer is a resounding yes.

Super Bowl halftime show review: Usher stunned with a very Vegas show including roller skates and so many hits

Usher was truly fantastic.

Usher’s halftime performance at the 2024 Super Bowl in Las Vegas may have caused singing, dancing, sweating, gyrating, and possible relationship issues.

The incredible musician, who arrived at the Super Bowl while seemingly wearing a blanket, had a tough act to follow after a delightful performance from Rihanna last season.

But we are talking about Usher, who took over Las Vegas long before he was tasked with performing at the Super Bowl. Remember, there is a reason why GQ called him the new king of Vegas.

This was a fantastic all-around performance from Usher, who kept the energy high at Allegiant Stadium after an uneventful first half between the 49ers and the Chiefs.

Although it was teased by Ludacris and Lil Jon, the performance did not begin with “Yeah!” (which came later in the show) but instead with a “My Way” and “Caught Up” medley.

He uniquely began the show, performing not on a stage but directly on the football field. The singer also brought out the marching band from Jackson State and then the always fabulous Alicia Keys, who wore a beautiful cape and joined him for a duet.

As predicted by our own Meghan L. Hall, other guest stars who joined Usher on the stage included Jermaine Dupri, H.E.R. (who played guitar on roller skates), Will.I.Am, Lil Jon (who is a longtime fan of the 49ers) and Ludacris.

(Despite rumors he would join, there is also a very good reason why Justin Bieber did not guest.)

Highlights of the performance included Usher wearing one glove like Michael Jackson and briefly going shirtless before roller skating on the stage himself.

Usher managed to fit 16 songs (and so many hits) into the length of the halftime show. Will this go down as one of the best halftime shows of all time?

If you thought so, now that his Super Bowl performance is completed, Usher is going on tour and is potentially bringing the magic to a city near you.

Lil Jon is releasing a meditation album — YEAH, that Lil Jon — and the internet had so many jokes

Some of these jokes are ELITE. Well done, internet.

Lil Jon’s mindfulness and meditation album is coming out soon, and the news has the internet cracking so many jokes.

Remember in 2023 when Andre 3000 announced that he was dropping a flute album? It seemed incredibly random (and possibly fake) until people realized he was totally serious. Now, another rapper is following in his footsteps and focusing on healing and strong mental health.

Lil Jon —yes, THAT Lil Jon — is putting away his Turn Down For What ways and quite literally turning down the volume for a new guided meditation album. The project, which promises ten tracks, will debut on February 16.

The internet was not prepared for the news of the project and immediately turned the whole subject into lots of immaculate jokes.

The Chiefs revealed Lil’ Jon will play an upcoming halftime show, and fans asked, YEAH, WHAT, OK

Is Kansas City ready for a huge party? Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh

If the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes can overcome the Jacksonville Jaguars in Kansas City this Saturday afternoon, they will have earned their fifth consecutive appearance in the AFC title game. In NFL history, only the Tom Brady-Bill Belichick New England Patriots (2011-2018) have a longer streak of appearances on Championship Sunday. What I’m saying is the Chiefs are the NFL’s clear current gold standard, and they’re on the precipice of only extending their run.

To help fans in hometown Kansas City get amped up during what should be a wild Divisional Round matchup over a team that just finished a historic comeback from 27-0 down, they’re enlisting the help of a rap legend. He is none other than Jonathan H. Smith, a.k.a. “Lil’ Jon,” and he’ll play the halftime show during Saturday’s proceedings.

Yeah? What?? OK!!!

Turn down for what? A Chiefs’ win after a rousing halftime performance from Lil’ Jon — at least in the eyes of the Kansas City faithful.

Chiefs announce Lil Jon as AFC divisional round halftime entertainment

The last time Lil Jon performed at a #Chiefs playoffs game, they shut out the #Texans in the AFC wild-card round.

The Kansas City Chiefs have announced their halftime performer for the AFC divisional round game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Atlanta-based rapper Lil Jon is set to get GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium crunk at halftime. He is perhaps best known for his 2013 6-time multi-platinum hit “Turn Down For What” produced by DJ Snake.

The team shared a teaser on Twitter on Wednesday afternoon announcing the performance. Check it out:

This is actually the second career playoff game that Kansas City has participated in that Lil Jon has performed at. He was the halftime performer back in the 2015-16 playoffs, performing at NRG Stadium in Houston during the team’s 30-0 win over the Texans. That game marked the Chiefs’ first playoff win since 1993. Perhaps that makes Lil Jon’s presence at this game against an AFC South opponent a good omen.

Kickoff for the Chiefs-Jaguars divisional round game is set for 3:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Jan. 21. Check back on Chiefs Wire later this week for more information on the National Anthem performer, a pre-game flyover and the team’s playoff Drum Honoree.

Niners reveal musical acts for NFC Championship Game

The Niners are sticking with the hip-hop theme that brought them luck in their first playoff game.

The San Francisco 49ers are once again bringing a hip-hop feel to their home postseason games. They have announced the musical talent for Sunday’s NFC Championship against the Green Bay Packers.

This comes a week after a hip-hop throwback halftime show with Tone Loc, Young MC & Sugarhill Gang.

Lil Jon also is a big hockey fan:

As for the national anthem:
