Panthers S Jordan Fuller has some pretty famous family members

New Panthers S Jordan Fuller might be a Six Degrees of Separation cheat code.

Never mind football. Playing Six Degrees of Separation with Jordan Fuller is where the real fun is at.

The new Carolina Panthers safety spoke with local reporters on Wednesday, hosting his first chat since he signed his fresh one-year, $5.25 million deal. When the Zoom call ventured into the 26-year-old’s interests, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer asked Fuller about the sound-proof panel that was set up behind him.

Fuller, who said he’s been rapping and singing, told Kaye that he has a pretty big contact in the music industry.

“I enjoy it,” he replied. “It’s a part of my family. My mom sings. She has her solo career, but also she sang background with, basically, you name it—she sang with them.  So grew up goin’ to concerts like Luther Vandross, he was Uncle Luther to us. She sang with Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys.”

Fuller’s mother, Cindy Mizelle, is a veteran vocalist who has backed many of music’s greatest artists. In addition to Uncle Luther, The Stones, Mariah and Alicia, Mizelle has also worked with Whitney Houston, Dave Matthews Band, Steely Dan and more.

As of that wasn’t cool enough, Fuller even has a tie to the movie industry. His aunt, Meredith, is married to actor and comedian David Adkins—more commonly known as Sinbad.

Yeah, Sinbad is his uncle!

So if Panthers owner David Tepper is looking to fill Bank of America Stadium with some more concerts this year, one of his newest players just might be able to help.

Swizz Beatz fiercely defended Alicia Keys over Super Bowl halftime show haters

Music fans thought something was going on between Usher and Alicia Keys, but Swizz Beatz isn’t buying it.

Swizz Beatz has seen the rowdy reaction music fans had to Alicia Keys’ Super Bowl performance with Usher, and he is not happy about all the shenanigans.

Usher put on a show-stopping performance during Super Bowl 58, complete with Vegas performers, marching bands and even some help from one of his previous musical collaborators, Alicia Keys. Keys and Usher surprised the crowd and fans watching with a rendition of If I Ain’t Got You and My Boo. However, not many people are talking about the singing between the pair.

A viral moment of Usher wrapping his arms around Alicia had music fans buzzing and joking about Keys’ husband, Swizz Beatz. Of course, news traveled quickly online and found its way back to Swizz, who squashed rumors that something nefarious was up.

In a new Instagram post, Swizz wrote:

“Y’all talking about the wrong damn thing! Y’all don’t see that amazing dress covering the entire stadium? Tonight’s performance was nothing but amazing with two amazing giants! Congrats, [Usher] and my love, [Alicia Keys]. That song is a classic. We don’t do negative vibes on this side; we make history.”

Usher snuggling up with Alicia Keys at his Super Bowl halftime show led to the same Swizz Beatz joke

Did somebody tell Usher that Alicia Keys is married?

Usher got up close and personal with Alicia Keys during his Super Bowl halftime show, and the internet all made the same jokes about her husband, Swizz Beatz.

Usher’s halftime performance was spectacular. Like his Las Vegas residency, it brought all the glitz and glam of the city to the Super Bowl. It also had guest appearances from some familiar faces during Usher’s career, like Lil Jon and Ludacris. But it’s his performance with Alicia Keys that has the internet talking.

Usher brought out his My Boo counterpart to the delight of the crowd and wrapped his arms around her while they were singing. Viewers could also see Alicia lean back into him and let out a playful laugh.

The internet immediately caught the details of the moment, and all made the same husband-related joke.

Super Bowl halftime show review: Usher stunned with a very Vegas show including roller skates and so many hits

Usher was truly fantastic.

Usher’s halftime performance at the 2024 Super Bowl in Las Vegas may have caused singing, dancing, sweating, gyrating, and possible relationship issues.

The incredible musician, who arrived at the Super Bowl while seemingly wearing a blanket, had a tough act to follow after a delightful performance from Rihanna last season.

But we are talking about Usher, who took over Las Vegas long before he was tasked with performing at the Super Bowl. Remember, there is a reason why GQ called him the new king of Vegas.

This was a fantastic all-around performance from Usher, who kept the energy high at Allegiant Stadium after an uneventful first half between the 49ers and the Chiefs.

Although it was teased by Ludacris and Lil Jon, the performance did not begin with “Yeah!” (which came later in the show) but instead with a “My Way” and “Caught Up” medley.

He uniquely began the show, performing not on a stage but directly on the football field. The singer also brought out the marching band from Jackson State and then the always fabulous Alicia Keys, who wore a beautiful cape and joined him for a duet.

As predicted by our own Meghan L. Hall, other guest stars who joined Usher on the stage included Jermaine Dupri, H.E.R. (who played guitar on roller skates), Will.I.Am, Lil Jon (who is a longtime fan of the 49ers) and Ludacris.

(Despite rumors he would join, there is also a very good reason why Justin Bieber did not guest.)

Highlights of the performance included Usher wearing one glove like Michael Jackson and briefly going shirtless before roller skating on the stage himself.

Usher managed to fit 16 songs (and so many hits) into the length of the halftime show. Will this go down as one of the best halftime shows of all time?

If you thought so, now that his Super Bowl performance is completed, Usher is going on tour and is potentially bringing the magic to a city near you.

After Shareef O’Neal, the oldest son of Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal, praised Alicia Keys last week on social media, the 15-time Grammy-award winning musician returned the favor right back to him.

The LSU commit posted a photo on Twitter wearing a Keys shirt and the “Fallin” singer eventually came across it and responded to him. She loved the shirt choice by O’Neal and re-posted it to her 30 million Twitter followers last weekend.

The tweet by Keys of the shirt garnered more than 6,000 likes on Twitter as the look fashioned by the 20-year-old O’Neal appeared to be a big hit among her fans.

O’Neal has been back in the gym recently after spending most of the summer with his father and brother in Orlando, Florida. He is set to join LSU next season after opting to transfer from UCLA, where he averaged 2.2 points and 2.9 rebounds in 13 games played with the Bruins.
