Jaguars at Raiders picks and predictions

Prediction

Raiders 24, Jaguars 20

Moneyline

BET RAIDERS (-130).

The Raiders will be getting starting QB Aidan O’Connell back and at full strength. He should help ignite a struggling offense. Las Vegas’ defense has allowed 19 or fewer points in 2 of its last 3 games, so it has found success on that side of the ball.

The Jaguars are just 1-6 on the road this season and have given up at least 28 points in 4 of the 7 away games. They will be without their starting QB in Lawrence, and scoring may continue to be an issue for them.

Considering the availability, back RAIDERS (-130).

Against the spread

PASS.

While the spread may be enticing, there’s no real edge in laying the 2 points at a slightly cheaper price. The Raiders should come out on top, but the moneyline is the better play to reduce some stress in a potentially close battle.

Over/Under

BET OVER 40.5 (-110).

The Raiders and Jaguars are both 8-6 O/U, and the former has gone Over in 4 of its last 7 games, allowing at least 27 points in 5 of the 7.

Jacksonville is 7-3 O/U in its last 10 games and has been able to score at least 20 points in 2 of its last 3 with former first-round pick QB Mac Jones under center. Expect both defenses to fold, and take OVER 40.5 (-110).

Atlanta Falcons at Las Vegas Raiders odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Atlanta Falcons at Las Vegas Raiders odds and lines, with expert NFL picks and predictions.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Atlanta Falcons (6-7) meet the Las Vegas Raiders (2-11) Monday at Allegiant Stadium in Week 15. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds around the Falcons vs. Raiders odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Falcons were trounced 42-21 as 6-point underdogs at Minnesota in Week 14, dropping a fourth consecutive game. Atlanta is 0-4 against the spread (ATS) in that skid, while a 4-game Under streak was snapped with the Over (46.5) hitting in the Vikings game.

Against the AFC, the Falcons are 0-4 straight up (SU) and ATS. The Under is also 4-0 in those 4 games with Atlanta averaging 11.5 points per game (PPG) and allowing 23.8 PPG.

The Raiders are in a 9-game nosedive and 1-4 ATS in the past 5 outings. They lost 28-13 as 7-point underdogs at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 14. The Under has cashed in the past 2 games, while the offense hasn’t scored more than 19 points in the last 4 outings and hasn’t scored more than 20 in 9 of the past 10.

Las Vegas is 0-3 SU and 1-2 ATS in 3 tries against NFC foes this season, while the Under has cashed in 2 of those 3 outings.

The news got worse for the Raiders Saturday, as it was announced star DE Maxx Crosby will miss the rest of the season following surgery for an ankle injury.

QB Aidan O’Connell is questionable for Monday’s game with a bone bruise involving his knee, and he didn’t practice all week. If he sits, QB Desmond Ridder, a third-round pick of the Falcons in 2022, could get his first Raiders start against his former team.

Falcons at Raiders picks and predictions

Prediction

Raiders 23, Falcons 18

Moneyline

The RAIDERS (+195) are the better value in this Monday night game as a Las Vegas win outright nearly pays 2-to-1.

The Falcons (-250) have been a disaster against AFC teams this season, and they’ve lost their last 4 overall. QB Kirk Cousins has been mistake-prone. He has 0 TDs and 8 INTs in the past 4 outings, leading some to call for rookie QB Michael Penix Jr. to start the final 4 games of the season.

Against the spread

The Raiders +5.5 (-110) aren’t a bad play if you’d rather take the points and not bet the moneyline, needing for Las Vegas to win outright.

Ridder comes in with the revenge factor, and he has a huge target in rookie TE Brock Bowers, one of the best tight ends in the NFL already. He should be a nice safety valve and security blanket on short to intermediate routes.

As mentioned, the Falcons are 0-4 ATS against AFC teams. That winless mark doesn’t appear likely to change Monday.

Whichever way you decide to go — betting the moneyline or spread — don’t wager more than 1½ UNITS betwen the 2 options.

Over/Under

UNDER 44.5 (-110) is the way to go.

The Under has hit in all 4 games for Atlanta against AFC foes this season, while going 4-1 in the past 5 outings.

The Las Vegas offense isn’t going to put up huge numbers on this Atlanta defense like Minnesota did last week. The Raiders have cashed low in the past 2 games, and the Under is 2-1 in their 3 tries against NFC teams this season.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Las Vegas Raiders (2-10) visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-6)  Sunday. Kickoff from Raymond James Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds around the Raiders vs. Buccaneers odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs odds and lines, with expert NFL picks and predictions.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Las Vegas Raiders (2-9) lock up with the Kansas City Chiefs (10-1) on Black Friday. Kickoff from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is set for 3 p.m. EST (Prime Video). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds around the Raiders vs. Chiefs odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Raiders enter Arrowhead on a 7-game losing streak, recently falling to the Denver Broncos 29-19 last Sunday. They failed to cover as 5-point home underdogs as the Over (41.5) hit. QB Gardner Minshew threw for 230 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT before his season ended with a clavicle injury. QB Aidan O’Connell (thumb) comes off IR to start this week.

The Chiefs continue to win but continue to allow the other side to cover. They prevailed 30-27 on a walk-off field goal as 11-point favorites at the Carolina Panthers in Week 12. QB Patrick Mahomes had one of his best games of the season with 269 passing yards, 3 TDs and 60 rushing yards, which was a season high. TE Noah Gray caught 2 of those TDs among his 4 grabs for 66 yards. They’ll get RB Isiah Pacheco (leg) and DE Charles Omenihu (knee) back for this one.

Raiders at Chiefs picks and predictions

Prediction

Chiefs 20, Raiders 17

Moneyline

The Chiefs have won 6 of the last 7 games vs. the Raiders, including the first meeting this season, a 27-20 victory at home in Week 8. However, they failed to cover as 8.5-point favorites with the Over (43) cashing. Last December, Las Vegas pulled off a 20-14 upset as an 11-point underdog in Kansas City on Christmas Day — Under (40.5) hit in this one.

While the Chiefs might be 10-1, they have flirted with disaster against the spread as they’ve failed to cover in 5 straight games — despite winning 4 of them.

There is no moneyline wager here. Instead, I’m keying on Raiders TE BROCK BOWERS OVER 57.5 RECEIVING YARDS (-115). In the 2 games O’Connell threw 20 passes, Bowers was targeted 12 and 10 times and had 97 and 71 receiving yards.

Against the spread

I love LAS VEGAS +13 (-115). The Chiefs have failed to put some bad teams away and as mentioned, have gone 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games. Raiders DE Maxx Crosby drives Mahomes crazy in the pocket. It’s expected to be cold, and this should be a game dominated by running backs. This has a good chance to hit. I personally took Raiders +13.5 earlier in the week.

Over/Under

This is a close call. It’s expected to be 36 degrees at kickoff. The Over is 7-3 in the last 10 head-to-head meetings. We’ve only had 1 meeting in KC in winter conditions since 2021, and that finished 20-14. That’s what I am feeling here, despite KC being 4-1 O/U in the last 5 and Vegas 4-0 O/U in their last 4.

TAKE UNDER 42.5 (-110).

The Raiders have lost 4 games in a row after falling 27-20 against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 8 while covering as 8.5-point home underdogs. QB Gardner Minshew went 24-of-30 for 209 yards with 2 TDs while Las Vegas had just 33 yards rushing in the loss.

Cincinnati had a 2-game winning streak snapped last week with a 37-17 loss against the Philadelphia Eagles while failing to cover as a 2.5-point home favorite. QB Joe Burrow went 26-of-37 for 234 yards with a TD and an INT while RB Chase Brown added a TD on the ground.

Moneyline

PASS.

There is no value on the Bengals (-350) to win and the Raiders (+280) are not worth it either.

Against the spread

BET BENGALS -7 (-110).

Each of the Bengals 3 wins this season have come by 7 points or more. Their defense has allowed 14 or fewer points in 2 of their last 3 games. Cincinnati has covered in 2 of its last 3 games. The Raiders, currently on a 4-game losing streak, have dropped 3 of their last 4 games by 7 or more points with 2 of the losses coming by 16 or more.

BET UNDER 45.5 (-110).

The Bengals have hit the Under in 2 of their last 3 games with the offense scoring 17 points in 2 of their last 3 games and the defense allowed 14 or fewer points in 2 of the last 3 games. The Raiders have scored 15 or fewer points in 2 of their last 3 games.

Kansas City Chiefs at Las Vegas Raiders odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs at Las Vegas Raiders odds and lines, with expert NFL picks and predictions.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs (6-0) are on the road in Week 8 for a AFC West matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders (2-5). Kickoff Sunday from Allegiant Stadium is at 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds around the Chiefs vs. Raiders odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Chiefs have won 13 straight games since last season, including the postseason. They are coming off a 28-18 road win over the San Francisco 49ers as 2-point underdogs in a Super Bowl rematch. QB Patrick Mahomes threw 2 picks, but the Kansas City defense picked off 49ers QB Brock Purdy 3 times. KC acquired WR DeAndre Hopkins this week.

The Raiders have lost 3 straight games. Last week, they covered the 7.5-point spread as underdogs in a 20-15 road loss to the LA Rams.

Chiefs at Raiders picks and predictions

Prediction

Chiefs 30, Raiders 13

Moneyline

The Raiders have only won 1 of the last 7 meetings with the Chiefs. They have not reached 20 points in 3 straight weeks while the Chiefs have not allowed an opponent to reach 20 points in their last 4.

The Chiefs are heavy favorites and should win this game, and the addition of Hopkins to their receiver room only makes them better. But don’t consider betting the -500 odds unless you include it in a parlay bet.

PASS.

Against the spread

The Chiefs’ last 2 wins have been by double digits while 3 of the Raiders’ 5 losses have been by double digits.

BET CHIEFS -9 (-120).

Over/Under

The Chiefs have not scored 30 points in a game yet this season, but scored 26 and 28 points in their last 2 games.

The Raiders are 29th in scoring defense. Four of their games this season have surpassed 41 points (3 of the Chiefs’ games have).

But with Hopkins adding dynamic playmaking to the receiver room, Mahomes’ streak of getting picked off every game this season will end and they will eclipse the 30-point mark.

BET OVER 41.5 (-110).

Las Vegas Raiders at LA Rams odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Las Vegas Raiders at LA Rams odds and lines, with expert NFL picks and predictions.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Las Vegas Raiders (2-4) and LA Rams (1-4) will square off in Week 7 as both teams look to inch closer to the .500 mark. Kickoff from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., is set for 4:05 p.m. ET (CBS) Sunday. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds around the Raiders vs. Rams odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Raiders have lost 2 games in a row after starting the year 2-2, losing to the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers in the last 2 weeks. QB Aidan O’Connell has replaced Gardner Minshew as the starter, but the change hasn’t yielded the results coach Antonio Pierce was looking for.

The Rams were on their bye in Week 6, getting the week off after starting the year 1-4. They’re sitting in last place in the NFC West, but they’re just 1½ games behind the 3-3 San Francisco 49ers for the division lead. Injuries have taken a toll on the Rams all year, with WRs Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua each missing 3-plus games.

Raiders at Rams picks and predictions

Prediction

Rams 24, Raiders 13

Moneyline

The Rams are heavily favored in this matchup, but they’re not a good enough team to warrant a bet at -350 odds. The Raiders upset the Ravens in Week 2, and while that’s not expected to happen again this week, the Rams haven’t played enough consistent football this season to feel good about laying that number.

PASS.

Against the spread

This is just the 1st time all season the Rams are favored over their opponent, and they’re giving a lot of points to Las Vegas. Even as 7-point favorites, they’re the better pick against the spread. The Raiders are coming off 2 losses by 16 and 19 points in their last 2 games with O’Connell under center.

Now they’ll face a Rams team that’s fresh off a bye and could have Kupp back in the mix. Only adding to the adversity is the absence of Raiders WR Davante Adams following his trade to the Jets and the likely absence of Meyers due to injury.

BET RAMS -7 (-110).

Over/Under

Neither of these offenses is particularly efficient. The Rams have moved the ball decently well between the 20s, but when they get to the red zone, they’ve only scored touchdowns 45% of the time – 24th in the NFL. That should make this a lower-scoring game, especially with Las Vegas missing its top 2 receivers.

As long as there aren’t too many big plays or turnovers by the offense deep in their own territory, this game should lack points a bit.

BET UNDER 43.5 (-110).

Pittsburgh Steelers at Las Vegas Raiders odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Pittsburgh Steelers at Las Vegas Raiders odds and lines, with expert NFL picks and predictions.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2) take on the Las Vegas Raiders (2-3) Sunday afternoon. Kickoff from Allegiant Stadium is set for 4:05 p.m. ET (CBS). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds around the Steelers vs. Raiders odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Steelers have dropped 2 in a row by 3 points apiece as they fell to the Dallas Cowboys 20-17 as 2.5-point favorites last week. QB Justin Fields was 15-for-27 for 131 yards, 2 scores and 0 INTs and added 27 yards on the ground. He hasn’t been terrible, but he hasn’t been good enough to sustain drives, and a poor showing in this one could cost him his job.

Despite impressive wins over the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns, the Raiders keep following it up with slipping and falling in the toilet. They were pounded 34-18 by the Denver Broncos last week. WR Davante Adams is out due to a hamstring injury that a trade to another team likely insta-heals. They plan to use QB Aidan O’Connell under center after he went 10-for-20 for 94 yards, 0 scores and 1 INT last week.

Steelers at Raiders picks and predictions

Prediction

Steelers 21, Raiders 18.

Moneyline

The Steelers have won the matchup each of the last 2 years. Those scores were 23-18 and 13-10, and we’re just atwitter with anticipation for this one.

Actually, this one will be a good watch to see how badly LB T.J. Watt and DE Maxx Crosby caves in the other’s backfield on a pass rush. The Steelers have the edge because of the presence of bruising RB Najee Harris. They’ll ride him to wear down Crosby’s defensive line and open things up for Fields.

I don’t normally suggest this, but I’m taking STEELERS -165 here because I don’t have faith in laying the points.

Against the spread

I’m projecting a push here. So I’m going with NAJEE HARRIS OVER 58.5 RUSHING YARDS (-120). RB Jaylen Warren is expected back, and he’ll take the receiving load off of Harris. Harris had 65 yards against the Raiders last season and had 70, 69 and 70 yards when Warren was active in the first 3 weeks.

Over/Under

This total is too low. Vegas hasn’t scored fewer than 18 points the last 4 weeks even despite its QB issues. Pittsburgh, though nothing to write home about, is routinely around 20. Those trends alone cash the OVER 36.5 (-110).
