Michigan State adds 2023 Lansing Catholic ATH Brandon Lewis as PWO

Something that we have seen under Mel Tucker’s administration at Michigan State football is a willingness to use their PWO (preferred walk-on) spots on local players from the Lansing community. That trend looks to continue into 2023, as the Spartans added Brandon Lewis, a 2023 ATH out of Lansing Catholic, to their 2023 recruiting class.

Michigan State football extends PWO offer to Lansing Catholic WR Alex Watters

Michigan State football has been doing their due diligence of late to add some PWO commitments to their 2022 class, mainly focusing on talented local players from Michigan who may have gone overlooked. The latest target? Lansing Catholic wide receive Alex Watters, who announced on Monday that he has received a PWO offer from MSU offensive coordinator Jay Johnson.

Watters is an explosive slot receiver who was a star at the high school level and could have good upside on special teams or out of the slot for the Spartans.
