Michigan State football makes top ten for recruitment of 4-star WR LaMason Waller III

It seems like this week has been the most active in terms of recruiting that we’ve seen for Michigan State football under new head coach Jonathan Smith. With multiple coaches on the road visiting with recruits, and multiple offers going out this week, the Spartans got a great update on 4-star wide receiver LaMason Waller III, who put the Spartans in his top ten this week.

Waller, who is from Sultana High School in Hesperia, California, is the No. 303 ranked player in the 2025 class by 247Sports and their No. 40 ranked wide receiver.

His top ten includes:

  • Colorado
  • Tennessee
  • Washington
  • Arizona
  • Stanford
  • Louisville
  • Texas A&M

Recruits react on social media to time spent in Norman with the Sooners

How did recruits react on social media to their time spent with the Oklahoma Sooners?

The Oklahoma Sooners hosted a number of prospects across the next few recruiting cycles. This week’s recruiting events have already yielded a commitment with the pledge from Jeremiah Newcombe to the Sooners 2024 class.

These weekends are about furthering recruiting pitches for prospects the Sooners have been recruiting for some time. Additionally, the recruiting events help build relationships with prospects they’re just beginning to recruit as well.

While much of the focus was on the 2024 and 2025 classes, the Sooners looked deep into the future and welcomed 2026 and 2027 prospects as well.

As we do after each of these major recruiting weekends, here’s a look at what some of the prospects had to say after their time in Norman.

Notre Dame offers sophomore All-American athlete a scholarship

The Irish will try and lure this California athlete to the Midwest

[autotag]Notre Dame[/autotag] has a very good history of recruiting the state of California and they are dipping their toes with another prospect.

Class of 2025 athlete [autotag]LaMason Waller[/autotag] is regarded as one of the best prospects in the country. The sophomore is 6-foot, 2-inches and weighs 170 pounds is rated as the 80th best recruit in his class and 6th best athlete according to the 247Sports composite.

Waller now has a Notre Dame offer along with about 40 others that he has amassed prior to playing a down in his junior year. It’s an extremely impressive list that should only grow as he progresses through his high school career.

Waller most likely will line up as a wide receiver at the next level but after tagging defensive backs coach [autotag]Mike Mickens[/autotag], the Irish might be looking at him on the other side of the ball.

Recruits react on social media to Oklahoma Sooners Spring Game weekend

How did recruits react on social media to their experience in Norman for the Oklahoma Sooners Spring Game?

The spring game is always more than just a football game for college teams. It’s an opportunity to show off your program to not only fans but to recruits as well. For Brent Venables, it was his first opportunity to put his team and vision on display for the world’s consumption.

And what a display it was.

The Sooners hosted more than 200 former players and a long list of more than 50 recruits according to Brandon Drumm of OUInsider (VIP).

Those recruits were treated to more than 75,000 Sooners fans in attendance showing the support they have not only for the current state of the program but for the past as well.

Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma’s sixth Heisman winner, received an outpouring of love from the Sooners faithful, which had to stand out to the recruits in attendance.

Here’s some of what the recruits had to say via social media after their weekend in Norman with the Oklahoma Sooners.
