The Brooklyn Nets will face the Los Angeles Lakers at home on Thursday night from Staples Center as two of the best teams in the league take the court.

The Nets completed a comeback victory over the Phoenix Suns last night and will look to make it five in a row with a win over the Lakers tonight. They will be without Kevin Durant again as he is out with an injury. As for the Lakers, they have been hot even without Anthony Davis, winning eight of their last nine, and will be back at home tonight to face a strong Brooklyn team.

This is a must-watch game for NBA fans, here is everything you need to know to stream the action tonight.

Prediction: The Nets always get up for games like these and wouldn’t expect anything less. I think this one will be close and will take the points with Brooklyn as they play Lebron and company, without AD.

The Nets and the Lakers squared off twice in the preseason with Brooklyn sweeping both contests. That was nearly three months ago and October basketball isn’t exactly an indication of where teams will be in January, February or even June. What we do know early on this season is that the Nets are struggling to find wins, while the Lakers look like a championship-caliber team.

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving have a history from their days on the Cavaliers, in which they won a championship. For the first time this season, the two will square-off on the hardwood. Kyrie did not play in Monday night’s 117-111 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, with the team opting to have him rest a tight hamstring. The Nets are currently in eighth place in the Eastern Conference with an 18-24 record and have some internal turmoil with Irving making comments about the team “missing pieces”. They will need Irving to step up and those missing pieces to show up Thursday night if they want to avoid dropping their fifth consecutive game.

While the Nets are struggling against the competition, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the Lakers have looked like a true contender for yet another NBA Championship in franchise history. The Lakers first in the Western Conference, but had a rough 139-107 loss to the Celtics and are in the midst of a five-game road trip. Davis leads the team in both points (26.6 per game) and rebounds (9.3), while James is averaging 25.2 points per game and a team-leading 11 assists.
