The Chargers opened the 2024 campaign with a 22-10 victory over the visiting Las Vegas Raiders, making a winner of coach Jim Harbaugh in his return to the NFL. The Bolts covered as a 3-point favorite as the Under (40.5) cashed.
The Chargers racked up 176 rushing yards, while PK Cameron Dicker was a perfect 3-of-3 on field-goal attempts. L.A. was a plus-3 in turnover ratio, too, while posting 4 sacks. If anything needs to be cleaned up, it’s discipline, as the Chargers had 7 penalties for 50 yards, and it was just 2-of-4 in red-zone efficiency, too.
The Panthers were a disaster from the jump in New Orleans. Carolina allowed a long TD just 3 minutes into the game, it was down 17-0 after the 1st quarter, and it was in a 30-0 hole in the 2nd quarter before striking for a field goal just before half. Carolina lost 47-10, managing just 58 rushing yards on 20 attempts, with 135 passing yards.
