Kings rookie Kyle Guy tied a G League-high of 42 points scored

Kyle Guy recorded a career-high 42 points Saturday night for the Stockton Kings in a 111-107 win over the Iowa Wolves in the G League.

Sacramento Kings two-way rookie Kyle Guy recorded a career-high 42 points Saturday night for the Stockton Kings in a 111-107 win over the Iowa Wolves.

Guy finished by shooting 11-of-23 from the field, including 8-of-16 from 3-point range, as his 42 points are tied for the most by an individual player this season in the G League.

Philadelphia 76ers two-way rookie Marial Shayok also had 42 on Nov. 11.

Guy helped the Kings erase a nine-point fourth-quarter deficit after scoring 14 points alone in the final frame. He went a perfect 7-of-7 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter to lead the Kings to victory.

The former Virginia product was unconscious on Saturday night from beyond the arc as Guy now has at least 33 points in three of his last four outings. He is second in the G League in points scored with 239, just three behind Jeremiah Martin of the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Guy has yet to make his official NBA debut with Sacramento but he is proving to be among the top players in the G League so far this season. In nine games, Guy is averaging 26.6 points, 5.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds while he is shooting 36% from 3-point range.

Stockton returns to action on Saturday against the OKC Blue.
