Video: KSI, Tommy Fury have bizarre faceoff separated by plexiglass inside small cage

Ahead of Misfits Boxing: The PRIME Card, KSI and Tommy Fury came face-to-face – sort of.

In the world of influencer boxing, it’s always good to expect the unexpected.

At Thursday’s pre-fight news conference for Misfits Boxing: The PRIME Card, there were plenty of out-of-left-field moments. Among them was a faceoff between [autotag]KSI[/autotag] and [autotag]Tommy Fury[/autotag], that was far from run-of-the-mill.

KSI and Fury came face-to-face – sort of. A thick layer of plexiglass was between them while they stood in a small cage. The two boxers yapped at one another until Fury’s father, John Fury, entered the cage and attempted to smash the glass with punches and shoulders. Security restrained John Fury and he was removed from the cage.

Misfits Boxing: The PRIME Card takes place Saturday at AO Arena in Manchester, England, with the main card on DAZN pay-per-view. The six-round match between KSI and Fury sits atop the card, which also features Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis.

Paul and Danis also took part in the news conference just before KSI and Fury took the stage. That segment concluded with an on-stage brawl.

Video: KSI, Tommy Fury, Logan Paul, Dillon Danis have insane press conference before complete meltdown

KSI, Tommy Fury, Logan Paul, and Dillon Danis were insufferable, causing John Fury to meltdown and flip tables and chairs in London.

LONDON – It was to be expected.

The first press conference promoting The PRIME Card, which featured a mix of influencers and fighters in [autotag]KSI[/autotag], [autotag]Tommy Fury[/autotag], [autotag]Logan Paul[/autotag], and [autotag]Dillon Danis[/autotag] was complete chaos.

Endless cussing and shouting over each other, personal insults, and props, including a giant birthday cake of a knocked-out Danis with a camel toe, it all ended with the inevitable – a full-blown skirmish.

After about 10 minutes, Tommy Fury’s trainer and father, John Fury, had heard enough. He stood up and went on a tirade before flipping and kicking over press conference tables off the stage. From there, all hell broke loose, with KSI and Paul on one side, and Fury and Danis on the other separated by security. Bottles of PRIME, the cake and anything that was available was hurled by both sides in attempts to attack each other.\

“We knew it was explosive. We didn’t know it would come from John Fury in the end, but that’s one way to end a press conference,” promoter Kalle Sauerland said after things calmed down and everyone was removed from the stage.

You can watch the press conference melt down in the video above.

Video: KSI, Tommy Fury go nose to nose during heated faceoff before scuffle breaks out

Watch KSI and Tommy Fury go at each other during their first faceoff at a news conference in London.

LONDON – As expected, [autotag]KSI[/autotag] and [autotag]Tommy Fury[/autotag] got into it during their first faceoff ahead of their boxing match.

The two stared each other down after Tuesday’s news conference at OVO Wembley Arena, and after coming nose to nose, KSI shoved Fury, which sparked a scuffle that was then broken up by security.

KSI and Fury headline Misfits Boxing’s “The PRIME Card,” which is set to take place Oct. 14 at AO Arena in Manchester, England, and streams on DAZN pay-per-view. They’re set to compete in a six-round fight at 183 pounds.

You can watch the faceoff and ensuing blow-up in the video above.

KSI last fought in May, when he stopped Joe Fournier in the second round of their contest. However, the win was overturned to a no contest due to an accidental elbow causing the finish. KSI is 3-0 as an amateur boxer and 1-0 as a professional, as he defeated Logan Paul in a split decision back in 2019.

Fury, on the other hand, picked up a split decision win over Jake Paul back in February. Fury, half brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, is 9-0 as a professional boxer.

Logan Paul, KSI to fight (separately) as part of Misfits Boxing ‘The Prime Card’

For the first time since they fought each other in 2019, Logan Paul and KSI will compete on the same boxing card.

[autotag]Logan Paul[/autotag] and [autotag]KSI[/autotag] will top an upcoming Misfits Boxing card entitled “The Prime Card,” they announced Friday on social media.

The event takes place Oct. 14 at AO Arena in Manchester, England and streams on DAZN pay-per-view. Opponents for the two influencers-turned-boxers have not yet been announced. It is unclear if the bouts will be professional or exhibition.

Paul, 28, has not competed in a professional boxing match since he fought and lost to KSI in November 2019. The bout was a rematch of an August 2018 amateur fight which ended in a draw. In June 2021, Paul competed in an exhibition bout against Floyd Mayweather and went all eight rounds in a non-scored bout.

While he’s been relatively inactive in boxing, Paul has thrilled fans with his athleticism in intermittent appearances in pro wrestling bouts for WWE.

KSI, 30, has competed four times since the pro bout against Paul. All four of those matches were exhibitions. KSI won three of them inside the distance, while a fourth one vs. Joe Fournier was declared a no contest after a knockout blow was deemed an accidental elbow.

Jake Paul agrees to have KSI as backup for boxing match; Nate Diaz fires back

It appears Jake Paul could have a contingency plan in place for the Aug. 5 fight if Nate Diaz can’t make it.

[autotag]Nate Diaz[/autotag] has told [autotag]Jake Paul[/autotag] and [autotag]KSI[/autotag] to just go ahead and box each other as his legal situation unfolds.

On Monday, the New Orleans Police Department issued an arrest warrant for Diaz on suspicion of second-degree battery following a physical altercation last Friday that was captured on video. Diaz was seen choking a man, Rodney Peterson, unconscious with a standing guillotine and dropping him on the ground.

Diaz (0-0) is scheduled to face Paul (6-1) in an eight-round boxing match Aug. 5 at American Airlines Center in Dallas. The fight will take place at 185 pounds and be promoted by DAZN with a live pay-per-view.

With Diaz’s legal situation, his fight with Paul could be in jeopardy. KSI, who boxes Joe Fournier on May 13, offered to serve as a backup, and Paul appreciated the gesture on social media.

“Great. I accept you as the backup opponen,” Paul tweeted to KSI. “Fight is at 185. There are no rehydration clauses. Stay in shape and we will give you a call if needed. Thanks buddy for being so humble and committed.”

Diaz saw this and fired back at both men, suggesting they fight each other while he looks to fight someone else.

“Lol why Don’t u two scared p*ssys just fight each other august I’ll fight someone who can really fight.”

If found guilty, Diaz could face up to eight years in prison and/or a $2,000 fine, which is the penalty in Louisiana for second-degree battery.

Logan Paul put his business partner KSI through a table at Wrestlemania 39

Seth Rollins moved just in time and we got to see a bottle of sports drink get absolutely flattened.

Logan Paul’s popularity can be attributed, at least in part, to his eminently punchable face. He’s opted to monetize that by taking his skills to the WWE, where he can more or less be safely beat up to the delight of millions of people worldwide.

Paul has proven this is more than just a cash grab, however. The 28-year-old Vine/YouTube/whatever star has prodigious talent in the ring and has clearly been working his butt off to back that up. He performed well in a tag team match at Wrestlemania 38, then absolutely shined in a match against WWE champion Roman Reign at a Saudi Arabia event months later to continue his growth as a grappler.

This led to Wrestlemania 39 and a feud with Seth Rollins — one of the most accomplished wrestlers in the world today. When Paul came to the ring alongside a mascot dressed up like his Prime sports drink, you knew something was going to happen that involved that big, stupid bottle.

My friends, something happened.

It turns out Paul’s buddy/business partner and fellow YouTube star KSI was in the suit. And after running a little interference for Paul, KSI helped set Rollins up on the Spanish announce team’s table for a painful splash off the ring post. Because this is wrestling and wrestling is poetry sometimes, this led him to be hoisted on his own petard — the one thing he assumed would never hoist him.

Here’s how it looked up close.

Glorious. Rollins won the match but Paul continued to win over wrestling fans by playing a perfect cocky heel while absolutely proving his worth in the ring. And KSI was a willing participant who may or may not gotten some ribs caved in, depending on how padded that suit was.
