The G League’s OKC Blue announced on Sunday that they had waived guard Kong Kong.

The Blue added Kong on Nov. 23 after playing with a short-handed roster for several games. In three games, he averaged 3.3 points on 28.6% shooting, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 23.1 minutes.

The Blue initially acquired Kong from the G League player pool following their draft in October. He was a training camp roster addition before being one of the final cuts.

After starting his college career at the junior college level, Kong spent two college seasons at Emporia State and Kentucky State. In three career games, he averaged 5.3 points and two rebounds. He went undrafted in 2023.

The G League’s OKC Blue announced on Thursday that they have acquired guard Kong Kong for their roster.

The Blue initially acquired Kong from the G League player pool following their draft last month. He was a training camp roster addition before being part of the final cuts.

After starting his college career at the JUCO level, Kong spent two college seasons at Emporia State and Kentucky State. In three career games, he averaged 5.3 points and two rebounds. He went undrafted in 2023.

Kong will get a chance to play for the Blue this season as they kicked off their 2023-24 campaign earlier this month.

OKC Blue adds Quintin Dove, Kong Kong from G League player pool

The OKC Blue added a pair of players from the player pool.

The OKC Blue, the G League affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder, continue to make roster moves. Following the G League draft, the Blue added forward Quintin Dove and guard Kong Kong from the player pool.

Kong spent two college seasons at Emporia State and Kentucky State. In three career games, he averaged 5.3 points and two rebounds. He went undrafted in 2023.

Dove spent two college seasons at UT Martin from 2018 to 2020. In 60 career games, he averaged 16.6 points on 57.8% and 6.5 rebounds. The 25-year-old went undrafted in 2020 and has played overseas since then.

The Blue also added Logan Johnson and Lance Thomas in the draft.

The Blue’s 2023-24 season is set to start on Nov. 10.
