These 2024 football prospects will visit Texas A&M the weekend of June 16

Texas A&M’s recruiting summer rolls along as the Aggies welcome a handful of top football prospects from the 2024 cycle this weekend, including a five-star WR.

Another June weekend means another opportunity for Texas A&M to welcome a handful of top football prospects from the 2024 cycle.

After the Aggies saw a plethora of top recruiting visits in College Station over the last two weeks, this weekend marks the first instance where the visitor list isn’t as offensive line-heavy. Additionally, no prospects from the Lone Star State are expected for official visits from June 16 through June 18.

Still, it doesn’t exclude Jimbo Fisher and his staff from being hard at work to convince some of the most promising football players of the future to make College Station their next home. On the docket, this weekend is a handful of visits from some top-tier wideouts, including one five-star prospect and the number one ranked player in Alabama.

Additionally, a four-star defensive lineman will make his way through Aggieland. While he’s trending toward the Maroon and White, perhaps an OV this weekend will be the icing on the cake on him formally committing to A&M.

Here’s the rundown on the top football prospects visiting Texas A&M over the weekend. As always, we’ll update this accordingly if any additional names are to be added.

2024 3-star OL Kobe Branham announces commitment date

Big-time Aggie recruiting target, 2024 3-star OL Kobe Branham has announced his commitment date.

Texas A&M now has an official commitment date for 2024 3-star offensive lineman Kobe Branham, who will announce his collegiate destination on Friday, June 23. Branham, who stands 6-5 and 320 lbs, has been rising in the recruiting ranks after an impressive junior campaign at Southside High School in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

During the Aggies’ April 15 Maroon and White Spring Game, Branham released his Top 5 program list, which included Arkansas, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, SMU, and Texas A&M. According to 247Sports, Branham is ranked as the 66th IOL and the 11th-ranked prospect in Arkansas. Branham is currently favored to land with the Razorbacks at this time, but as we know, the prediction business, especially with recruiting is somewhat unreliable.

Starting at left and right guard for the majority of his 2022 junior campaign, Branham’s tape shows a powerful blocker in the run game, and even though his technique lacks finesse, a solid coaching staff will surely be able to iron out any of these issues. During the season, Branham helped pave the way for Southside to the tune of 255.4 rushing yards per game, and 37 rushing touchdowns on the year.

With almost two months left before his commitment, Texas A&M and head coach Jimbo Fisher have some work to do.
