Prediction

Raptors 106, Knicks 99

Moneyline (ML)

Both teams are riddled with injuries but the Raptors (-588) have still been able to rifle off four straight wins, and they remain undefeated at 7-0 on home court. The Knicks (+425) have lost three straight, but all by single digits. They’ve won just one of eight road games on the year with that victory coming Nov. 8, against the Dallas Mavericks.

The Raptors outscore their opponents by an average of 7.4 points per game (112.9-105.5) while the Knicks lose by an average of 6.6 PPG (108.6-102.0). Toronto will win at Scotiabank Arena, but these odds are far too chalky with a $10 bet returning a profit of just $1.70. The value lies with the spread when spotting the Knicks a couple handfuls of points.

Against the Spread (ATS)

The play is to back the KNICKS (+9.5, +105) to stay within nine points in a loss or win outright. They’re still getting plus money while being spotted such a large number and a $10 bet will fetch a profit of $10.50.

The Knicks are 9-8 against the spread overall and 5-3 on the road. The Raptors are 10-6 ATS overall and 6-1 at home, but just two of their last six victories were decided by 10 or more points. The Knicks have gone six straight games without losing by 10 or more.

Over/Under (O/U)

The Raptors are 9-7 against the Over/Under while topping the projected totals by an average of 0.3 points per game. The Knicks are 5-12 against the O/U and fall an average of 3.9 shy of the projections. Take the UNDER 211.5 (-105).

The Knicks have the interior presence to limit Raptors PF Pascal Siakam, who leads the team with 25.7 PPG. Lowry and Ibaka are the team’s second- and fourth-leading scorers and both are expected to remain out of the lineup. Toronto still has the depth to win, but it will be via a tighter, lower-scoring contest.
