Kira Lewis continues to improve and impress. So much so that even Draft Wire sees Lewis as the 6th best player in the 2020 NBA Draft class.
Analysts continue to applaud Lewis’ speed, ability to move the ball and his ability to make big plays. Many mock draft have Lewis between the No. 15-25 overall pick of the draft. This continues to be a trend for Lewis. Some analysts say Lewis could sneak his way closer to the top 10 as the NBA Draft gets closer.
Here is how Draft Wire has graded and analyzed this draft class:
“Rankings are based on the previous body of work and perceived potential for a prospect as well as our own intel gathered from discussions with scouts and other folks around the league. Ultimately, however, these rankings reflect the likelihood of the prospect having a long career in the NBA.”
With all of that said, here’s what Draft Wire says about Lewis, and why they have him ranked at No. 6:
“Kira Lewis deserves as much hype as anyone heading into the 2020 NBA Draft because of his youth, despite having two years of collegiate experience. After averaging 18.5 points and 5.2 assists per game, he projects well as a lead guard. Given the fast tempo that he played in college, Lewis may be the best option for an NBA team that runs transition offense.”
There’s no doubt that Lewis’ NBA career will be exciting to watch!
In his two years with the Crimson Tide, Lewis averaged 34.5 minutes and finished with a field goal percentage of 44.7 percent, 1,031 points, 260 assists and 183 turnovers.
He averaged 18.5 points per game, 5.2 assists per game and made 37% percent of his 3-pointers.
Lewis announced his entry into the NBA draft at the end of March by a heartfelt twitter post.
The NBA draft is scheduled to be held on Friday, Oct. 16, but Roll Tide Wire will keep you updated on if that changes due to the coronavirus.
