Prediction

Trail Blazers 107, Kings 102

Moneyline (ML)

The TRAIL BLAZERS (-149) return home for the second half of their back-to-back after losing 117-97 to the Los Angeles Clippers Tuesday. The loss snapped a season-high three-game winning streak. They’re 3-4 at home for the year and 4-6 overall across their last 10 games. The Kings (+125) had Tuesday off following a 113-106 home loss to the Chicago Bulls Monday. They’re 3-7 straight up on the road and 5-5 across their last 10.

The Blazers have the better offense with an average of 112.8 points per game to the Kings’ 104.3, but Sacramento has been the better defensive club with 107.8 PPG allowed to Portland’s 114.8. The Trail Blazers are playing for the second straight night, but they’re the healthier and deeper squad right now and will win a close affair at home.

New to sports betting? A $10 bet on the Blazers to win outright returns a profit of $6.70.

Against the Spread (ATS)

The spread is a much better play for the TRAIL BLAZERS (-2.5, -115) with a greater profit margin. The Kings are 12-7 against the spread overall and 7-3 on the road, while the Blazers are 9-11 ATS overall and 2-4 at home.

The small spread of just a single possession changes things, however, as all but one of Portland’s eight victories were decided by at least three points. Only one of Sacramento’s 11 losses was by a gap of fewer than three points.

Over/Under (O/U)

The two teams combine to average 217.1 PPG, but the back-to-back for Portland and rash of injuries for Sacramento will slow the pace. Take the UNDER 216.5 (+105) as the higher value play.
