Lily Gladstone’s awards history at the Oscars

Has Lily Gladstone ever won an Academy Award?

Lily Gladstone delivered one of the best performances in 2023 with Killers of the Flower Moon, and it earned her a very well-deserved nomination for Best Actress as this year’s Academy Awards.

It’s her first-ever nomination at the Oscars, as she’s never been recognized before by the Academy. However, she may well win on her first nomination after winning the SAG Award for Best Actress.

We’ll know soon enough if Gladstone is able to walk away with an Oscar for her incredible turn in Martin Scorsese’s latest film, her first in a career where we could easily see her winning even more for her stellar acting.

Robert De Niro’s awards history at the Oscars

We know Robert De Niro has won an Academy Award. How many, exactly?

Robert De Niro is widely regarded as one of the best actors of all time.

He’s appeared in so many memorable films, from Goodfellas to Taxi Driver and beyond. He’s also been recognized by the Academy Awards for his stellar career.

Exactly how many times the Oscars have awarded the legendary actor is a very fascinating question, however.

De Niro has won two Oscars in his career, once for 1974’s The Godfather: Part II in Best Supporting Actor and again for 1980’s Raging Bull in Best Actor. He’s been nominated nine times by the Academy over the past five decades, but he’s only won twice for those two performances.

The other films that De Niro was nominated for but didn’t end up winning for were Taxi Driver, The Deer Hunter, Awakenings, Cape Fear, Silver Linings Playbook, The Irishman and, most recently, Killers of the Flower Moon.

It’s that last performance that De Niro is currently nominated for in Best Supporting Actor, and we’ll know on March 10 if he’ll add a third Oscar to his mantle.

Lily Gladstone gave a heartwarming speech at this year’s Golden Globes for her role in Killers of the Flower Moon

It’s Lily Gladstone’s world, and we’re just happy to live in it.

Killers of the Flower Moon star Lily Gladstone gave one the best speeches of the night at this year’s Golden Globes ceremony.

Winning in the Best Actress (Drama) category, Gladstone started her speech speaking the Blackfeet language before paying tribute to that “beautiful community” that raised and encouraged her and her mother for making sure she learned the Blackfeet language as a child.

She also thanked everyone who helped bring Martin Scorsese’s film to life, and she might well keep winning awards this season.

We’re considering her our favorite for Best Actress at the Oscars right now, and her moving speech only makes those chances stronger.

We’ll see how well Killers of the Flower Moon does overall at March’s Oscar ceremony, where it will earn its fair share of nominations, including Best Picture.

However, we feel very confident the film and Gladstone’s performance will live well past this awards season into the history of the medium.

Martin Scorsese has created a Letterboxd account on top of new film Killers of the Flower Moon

Martin Scorsese has a Letterboxd account. We repeat: Martin Scorsese has a Letterboxd account.

Legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese has surprisingly joined Letterboxd.

Yes, as hard as it is to comprehend, perhaps the greatest director of all time has created a profile on the film-tracking application Letterboxd to share what he’s been watching lately and maybe even how he feels about it.

No, Martin Scorsese is not trying to insult comic book movies when he talks about cinema

It’s a fascinating twist for the towering auteur, whose new film Killers of the Flower Moon is playing in theaters nationwide. If you’ve longed to open up your Letterboxd account and see what movies Scorsese has been watching, now is your chance.

This is like opening up a wonderful present on Christmas morning if you’re a Scorsese fan or just an appreciator of really good movies in general.

Scorsese confirmed his Letterboxd activity on his Instagram account.
