Four-star North Oconee edge rusher Khamari Brooks names top three schools

Four-star edge rusher Khamari Brooks is down to three schools. The four-star pass rusher’s top schools are Georgia, Alabama and Clemson.

Brooks is the No. 154 recruit in the country, the No. 11 edge rusher and No. 19 prospect in Georgia, per 247Sports. Brook is a member of the class of 2026.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound pass rusher is scheduled to visit Georgia, Clemson and Alabama. Brooks plays both outside linebacker and tight end for North Oconee.

Brooks delivered a clutch performance for North Oconee in the recent Georgia state championship games. He recorded eight tackles and 1 1/2 sacks en route to earning the MVP award for the game. Brooks also hauled in four receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown.

Coach Kirby Smart and UGA already signed one of Brooks’ high school teammates: four-star wide receiver Landon Roldan.

The recruitment process remains wide open for four-star edge recruit Khamari Brooks, who recently won a state championship with North Oconee High School. Brooks is from Bogart, Georgia.

While he hasn’t narrowed down his options or ruled out any programs, Alabama, Clemson, and Georgia appear to be leading the race for the talented junior. Brooks is ranked as the No. 153 recruit in the country, the No. 11 edge rusher and No. 19 prospect in Georgia, per 247Sports.

Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 220 pounds, Brooks showcased his abilities and versatility by being a focal point on both offense and defense this season. To go along with North Oconee’s journey to a state championship, he made visits to Tuscaloosa, Clemson, and Athens to attend college football games this fall.

Ranked as a top 20 recruit in Georgia for the class of 2026, Brooks has plans to revisit these three schools. With Georgia getting the first visit the Bulldogs will look to capitalize getting Brooks on campus again. Brooks has been a frequent visitor in Athens with four visits since the month of October.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound edge prospect is from North Oconee High School in Bogart, Georgia.

Brooks does not have recruiting rankings from 247Sports, On3, Rivals or ESPN.

The Vols are the fourth Southeastern Conference school to offer Brooks a scholarship.

He has scholarship offers from Tennessee, Penn State, Tulane, Michigan State, South Florida, Ole Miss, Duke, Wake Forest, Cincinnati, LSU, Georgia State, Alabama and Georgia.

South Florida was the first school to offer Brooks a scholarship on May 10.

Khamari Brooks of Bogart, Ga. announced on Sunday that he’s received an offer from the Spartans. Brooks shared the notable recruiting news via social media platform X.

Brooks is an unranked prospect on 247Sports. He’s listed at 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds.

Michigan State is one of six programs to offer Brooks, according to 247Sports. The other schools to extend him an offer includes Cincinnati, Georgia State, USF, Wake Forest and Western Kentucky.
