Khalid Campbell on his Rutgers football offer: ‘I can see all my hard work starting to pay off’

Rutgers football sent out an offer this week to Khalid Campbell, a running back from Florida.

On Sunday, Rutgers football offered Florida running back Khalid Campbell. For the sophomore running back, it was his first Power Five offer.

And it was proof that his hard work is paying off.

Campbell is a name to remember with a recruitment that is likely to go national in the coming months. A class of 2025 recruit, he is a 5-foot-10, 185-pound running back who projects to be one of the top prospects in the nation at his position.

He put up some strong numbers in 2022, rushing for 945 yards on 113 carries for Clearwater Academy (Clearwater, FL). In addition, he registered eight rushing touchdowns as well as five games where he topped 100 rushing yards.

“I am extremely blessed to be in the position I am in, as I can see all my hard work starting to pay off,” Campbell told Rutgers Wire about his offer from the Scarlet Knights.

“I will continue to strive to be the best version of myself throughout this journey as I continue to grow on and off the field.”

In addition to his recent offer from Rutgers, Campbell also holds offers from Liberty, UMass, South Florida and Western Kentucky among several others.
