Chris Lofton inducted into Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame

Former Vol Chris Lofton inducted into Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame.

Former Vol Chris Lofton was inducted into the Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame Tuesday.

The induction ceremony and dinner was held at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky.

Lofton, a native of Maysville, Kentucky, was one of five athletes inducted into the Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame’s 46th class.

He played for Tennessee from 2004-08 for head coaches Buzz Peterson and Bruce Pearl.

Lofton was recognized as an All-America standout for three consecutive seasons. He was also the 2007 SEC Player of the Year. He scored 2,131 career points at Tennessee and is fourth on the school’s all-time scoring list

He holds Tennessee’s single-game record for made three-point field goals (nine).

Lofton had his No. 5 jersey retired on Jan. 14, 2023.
