MSU RB coach speaks on Spartans renowned success in running game

Michigan State football is gearing up for a huge game against Indiana this weekend inside of Spartan Stadium. If MSU is going to have success, the team needs to continue to string together strong performances in the running game. The Spartans have had their best two performances in the running game against Iowa and Michigan, which are two of the best front sevens they will face this season.

Running backs coach Keith Bhonapha spoke to the media on Tuesday, talking about the running game and how they can improve upon it.

Michigan State football and Ohio State are gearing up for a Saturday night clash under the lights against one another inside of Spartan Stadium.

Running back coach and co-special teams coordinator Keith Bhonapha was one of the coaches to speak to the media this week, talking about his units and what they need to do to take down the No. 3 team in the nation on Saturday night.

Michigan State football Running Backs Coach Keith Bhonapha named Co-Special Teams Coordinator

Michigan State football running backs coach Keith Bhonapha may be the most titled man in college football next year. Bhonapha is already coaching the running backs, a role he is considered one of the best in the country at. He will also be the assistant head coach this year. Now, he will also be the co-special teams coordinator for the Spartans.

Bhonapha will split that role with rush ends coach Chad Wilt.

Oregon State RB coach Keith Bhonapha set to join new Michigan State football staff

It kind of feels like a holiday today, as Michigan State football keeps unwrapping presents in the form of big staff hires under new head coach Jonathan Smith.

Smith has been moving quickly to bring his key staff members over from Oregon State, where he had a group of highly respected assistant coaches around the program. The latest addition to the MSU program is Keith Bhonapha, the now-former Oregon State running backs coach.

Before Oregon State, Bhonapha was at Washington from 2014-2021 and has coached five running backs who have made it to the NFL.
