Located far down under, the country of Australia has been producing plenty of football players at one primary position over the last three decades: punters.
Keegan Andrews verbally committed to play at Texas A&M on Sunday evening, announcing the news on his Instagram account. With Nik Constantinou likely departing, Andrews and Tyler White are the two scholarship punters on the roster competing to start.
“I am extremely excited and honoured to announce my commitment to study and play football on a full scholarship at the University of Texas A&M,” Andrews stated. “I want to first give a huge thank you to @prokickaustralia and @tgpunting for all your help with my training and preparation over the last year! @johnnypka_ thank you for all your work behind the scenes, it doesn’t go unnoticed and I couldn’t be more grateful for your support!

In 1995, Colin Ridgway was the first Aussie to punt in the NFL. Twenty-three others have followed in his footsteps and perhaps Andrews will someday too.
