The CHIEFS (+105) are a solid value as a short ‘dog in the preseason opener. Kansas City takes the preseason seriously, and it has won 6 consecutive exhibitions games while going 5-1 ATS during the span.
The Saints (-125) will use Carr to get his feet wet with his new team, but you have to love the Chiefs, who play these games to win and ramp up leading to the regular season.
Against the spread
CHIEFS +1.5 (-110) are only worth playing if you are dead-set on the Saints -1.5 (-110) winning this game by a single point. If you feel the Chiefs are going to win outright, they’re a much better value straight up on the money line.

The Chiefs hit the Under in all 3 preseason games last season, but you can expect a shootout, at least in the 1st half.
It’s uncertain how long Carr will play for the Saints, but New Orleans will be looking to get its new QB some valuable time with the first-team offense. That’s a good sign for the Over barring a slow start.
