First look: Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs Week 7 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Los Angeles Chargers (2-3) and the Kansas City Chiefs (5-1) meet for a Week 7 matchup Sunday at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we look at Chargers vs. Chiefs odds from FanDuel Sportsbook. Also see: SportsbookWire’s NFL picks and predictions.

The Chargers were on the short end of a disappointing 20-17 loss on Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6. The Bolts are just 1-3-1 against the spread (ATS), while cashing the Under in 3 consecutive outings.

Inside the AFC West Division, L.A. won its only previous battle at home against the Las Vegas Raiders, 24-17, pushing at most shops as a 7-point favorite as the Under (49) connected.

The Chiefs weren’t terribly impressive in a prime-time game Thursday in Week 6, easing by the Denver Broncos 19-8. The offense has struggled in a handful of games this season, but Kansas City is still 4-1 ATS thanks in large part to a solid defense. The Chiefs have allowed 10 or fewer points 3 times, and 21 or fewer points in all 6 games this season. The Under is 4-2 overall.

Kansas City won last season’s battle at Arrowhead, played on a Thursday night, by a 27-24 score. However, the Chargers were able to hang on for the cover as 4-point underdogs as the Under (53) connected.

First look: Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs odds and lines

Looking at Thursday’s Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs Week 6 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Denver Broncos (1-4) and the Kansas City Chiefs (4-1) meet in Week 6 for Thursday Night Football at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET (Prime Video). Below, we look at Broncos vs. Chiefs odds from BetMGM Sportsbook. Also see: SportsbookWire’s NFL picks and predictions.

The Broncos suffered a 31-21 setback at home against the New York Jets, falling to 0-3 in the Mile High City this season, while also going 0-3 against the spread (ATS). Denver’s only win was its most recent road outing at Chicago in Week 4, a 31-28 victory as a 3-point favorite to push at most shops. The Over has cashed in 4 straight outings for Denver.

The Chiefs have rattled off 4 straight wins since dropping a 21-20 decision against the Detroit Lions on Thursday night in Week 1. Kansas city picked up a 27-20 win in Minnesota on Sunday, and it is now 3-1 ATS in the past 4 games, while cashing the Over in 2 of the past 3 contests.

One thing to watch, TE Travis Kelce left Sunday’s game against the Vikings to have his ankle checked in the locker room after a non-contact injury. While he returned to finish the game, it’s worth watching with the quick turnaround. Remember, he missed the Week 1 game after an injury in practice prior to the game.

Broncos at Chiefs head-to-head

The Chiefs swept the regular-season series in 2022, but the Broncos played Kansas City very tough. The meeting at Arrowhead on New Year’s Day went in favor of Kansas City by just a 27-24 score, with Denver easily covering a 13.5-point number. The Chiefs won 34-28 in Denver, too, while the Broncos covered as an 8.5-point underdog.

Kansas City has won 15 straight meetings in this series, while going 10-5 ATS during the span. Denver has covered 4 of the past 5 outings, however. The last time the Broncos topped the Chiefs was Sept. 17, 2015, at Arrowhead. QB Patrick Mahomes was celebrating his 20th birthday, and just beginning his sophomore year at Texas Tech.

Chicago Bears at Kansas City Chiefs odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Chicago Bears at Kansas City Chiefs odds and lines, with expert NFL picks and predictions.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Chicago Bears (0-2) face the Kansas City Chiefs (1-1) Sunday in Week 3 NFL action. Kickoff at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Bears vs. Chiefs odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Bears fell to 0-2 on the season after losing 27-17 at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday. QB Justin Fields continues to struggle as a pocket passer, throwing more INTs than TDs this season. He ran for 1,143 yards in 2022 but is averaging just 31 yards per game on the ground this year. Fields is not happy with the direction of this offense, calling out his coaching staff for making him too robotic during his mid-week press conference.

Kansas City bounced back in Week 2 with a 17-9 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars after its heartbreaking opening night loss to the Detroit Lions at home. The Chiefs typically potent offense has not been able to score more than 20 points in a game this season. QB Patrick Mahomes is averaging 265 passing yards and 2 TDs per game, which is nearly 40 yards below his career average. This should be a get-right game for the Chiefs’ offense against a Bears team that allowed QB Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers to put up 27 points against them.

The last time these teams met was in Dec. 2019 in Chicago when Kansas City recorded a 26-3 victory as a 6.5-point favorite. The Chiefs have split against the Bears over their last 4 meetings but are 1-3-1 against the spread (ATS).

Bears at Chiefs picks and predictions

Prediction

Chiefs 34, Bears 13

Moneyline

PASS.

Despite the early-season offensive struggles, the Chiefs will get their groove back against the Bears on Sunday. As much as I like Kansas City to win this game, no way am I going to bet -750. It’s just a bad bet.

Against the spread

BET CHIEFS -12.5 (-110).

Normally, I have a rule against betting any NFL team giving double-digit points, but in this case, I’ll make an exception. I just don’t see any way the Bears stay in this game. Their quarterback is calling out the coaching staff in press conferences, and they refuse to utilize their best offensive weapon in Fields.

The Bears’ defense is allowing over 32 points per game on the season. They have also allowed opponents to convert on 3rd down over 50 percent of the time, which leads the league. Mahomes should slice and dice this defense all afternoon.

Over/Under

AVOID.

I’m just going to personally stay away from this total. I believe the Chiefs will score at will against this defense, but their offensive struggles thus far this season scare me. I also don’t believe the Bears will do their part to help get to this number.

There are just too many variables and it makes me wary of touching this bet.

Bears vs. Chiefs head-to-head

The Bears and Chiefs have played once since 2016. That was a 26-3 win for Kansas City in Chicago on Dec. 22, 2019. The Bears lead the all-time series 7-6, but are 1-2 in the 3 meetings since 2010.

The Bears defense has been awful to start the season, allowing 65 points in 2 games. Their offense hasn’t helped much, not topping 20 yet this season. The task will be tall against the reigning Super Bowl champions.

For Kansas City, it welcomed TE Travis Kelce back after he missed their season-opening loss. Kelce caught a TD in his return against the Jaguars, but ended with just 26 receiving yards.

First look: Detroit Lions at Kansas City Chiefs odds and lines

Looking at Thursday’s Detroit Lions at Kansas City Chiefs Week 1 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Detroit Lions and the Kansas City Chiefs meet Thursday night to open the 2023 NFL regular season. Kickoff from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC). Below, we look at Lions vs. Chiefs odds from BetMGM Sportsbook. Also see: SportsbookWire’s NFL picks and predictions.

The Lions head into the 2023 regular season with a lot of optimism and high expectations after a strong finish in 2022 under head coach Dan Campbell. Detroit went from 3 victories in 2021 to 9 wins last season, and the Lions are searching for their first NFC North Division title since 1993.

The Chiefs are the defending Super Bowl champions after pushing past the Philadelphia Eagles last February. Expectations are always high for QB Patrick Mahomes and company, and Thursday’s game represents a good test to start.
