Pistons fans are not happy at all about this. Other NBA fans sure are, though.
All 30 NBA teams next season will have special Statement Edition uniforms that they will wear from time to time throughout the year. Oh, and Michael Jordan’s Jumpman logo will be on all those jerseys, which is pretty cool.
Well, it’s probably not that cool if you’re a Detroit Pistons fan because that franchise has a lot of bad history with Jordan, which all came up again in the great “The Last Dance” series.
But yup, MJ’s logo will be seen on the upper right of Pistons jerseys, which is just too rich.
The Pistons celebrated the announcement on Tuesday with a one-word tweet and a photo of the jersey:

Pistons fans were not happy about MJ’s presence on their team’s jersey:
How can the Pistons wear a Jordan logo after him trashing the Bad Boys and blackballing Isiah off the Dream Team?
This seems like sacrilege.#BadBoys#DetroitBasketball

One way around wearing the Jordan logo is to never wear these grey “statement” jerseys ever again. That would be best for everyone https://t.co/TzbVRygkg8

Dont think I’ll ever be able to buy a Pistons jersey with a Jordan logo on it https://t.co/T4HovHq24F

Jordan logo on a pistons jersey is unacceptable, though this is easily one of the worst uniforms in the NBA so maybe it’s actually an insult. Yeah, I’ll go with that I guess https://t.co/Pb5JKdi3iF

Other NBA fans, however, had lots of jokes:
