Tennessee outfielder Jordan Beck recorded one hit in a Cape Cod Baseball League Sunday.

Beck, appearing in his third consecutive contest for the Harwich Mariners, went 1-for-3 in their 7-0 loss to the Brewster Whitecaps in Brewster, Massachusetts.

Beck, who was instrumental in Tennessee’s 2021 season, is batting .222 for the Mariners (4-6-1) this summer.

He is 2-for-9 with a pair of walks and two runs scored in three games.

Beck, a junior for the Vols, batted .271 with 15 home runs and 64 RBIs.

He also had 16 doubles and two triples for the Vols last season, while appearing in 67 games and making 66 starts.

Harwich will host Wareham Monday at 6:30 p.m. EDT.

For the second consecutive night, Tennessee outfielder Jordan Beck started in the Cape Cod Baseball League.

He made made a contribution as his team found its way into the win column.

Beck, who played right field, went 1-for-2 and scored two runs. He also walked twice as the Harwich Mariners defeated Cotuit, 10-3, Friday at Whitehouse Field. The game was called after eight innings.

Beck made his Cape Cod Baseball League debut Wednesday for the Mariners in a 1-1 tie against Bourne.

He went 0-for-4 and struck out twice.

During his sophomore season with the Volunteers, Beck batted .271 with 15 home runs and 64 RBI.

He appeared in 67 games and made 66 starts. Beck also had 16 doubles and two triples for Tennessee last season.

Tennessee outfielder Jordan Beck made his Cape Cod Baseball League debut Wednesday for the Harwich Mariners.

Beck, who started in right field for the Mariners in their 1-1 tie against the Bourne Braves at Doran Park, went 0-for-4 and struck out twice.

The game was delayed twice due to lightning in Bourne, Massachusetts.

Harwich, who had eight hits in the contest, scored the first run of the game in the top of the seventh.

Bourne scored the tying run in the bottom of the frame and were able to salvage a tie despite committing four errors.

During his sophomore season with the Volunteers, Beck batted .271 with 15 home runs and 64 RBIs.

He appeared in 67 games and made 66 starts for Tennessee in 2021, helping the Vols advance to the College World Series.

Beck also had 16 doubles and two triples last season.

Jordan Beck hits walk-off three-run homer against ETSU

Jordan Beck’s big day at the plate helped Tennessee nab a walk-off extra-inning victory Tuesday night.

Beck, the Volunteers’ sophomore right fielder, clubbed two home runs, including a three-run shot in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift No. 10 UT to a 9-6 victory over East Tennessee State at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Beck went 3-for-6 with two homers, an RBI double and two runs. He drove in five runs for the Vols (15-3).

Beck started the scoring with a solo homer in the bottom of the second inning.

Tennessee took a 2-0 lead on an RBI single by Drew Gilbert in the third.

After the Buccaneers (10-6) scored three runs in the fourth and tallied once in the fifth, the Vols answered with two runs in the sixth as Max Ferguson had an RBI triple and Liam Spence drove him in with a sacrifice fly.

Beck’s RBI double plated Jake Rucker to give Tennessee a 5-4 lead in the seventh.

Sevier County graduate Noah Webb made it 5-5 when he drove in a run for the Buccaneers with a sacrifice fly before Halls High product Bryce Hodge gave ETSU a 6-5 lead with an RBI groundout.

Gilbert tied things with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth before Beck sealed the victory in the bottom of the extra frame.

Recapping UT’s win over UNC Greensboro on Friday.

Sophomore right fielder Jordan Beck helped No. 14 Tennessee defeat UNC Greensboro, 6-2, Friday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Beck doubled and drove in three runs against the Spartans.

He started Tennessee’s scoring with a two-run double that plated Jake Rucker and Pete Derkay to give the Vols (12-3) a 2-0 lead.

In the fifth, Tennessee extended its advantage to 3-0 when Connor Pavolony singled home Max Ferguson, who had a solid performance with two hits (including a double and a home run). He scored two runs and had an RBI against the Spartans (10-3).

UNC Greensboro scored both of its runs in the sixth as Corey Rosier and Pres Cavenaugh each homered in the frame to pull the Spartans to within 3-2.

Ferguson answered with his round-tripper in the seventh inning, and Beck knocked in a run during the eighth with a sacrifice fly.

Evan Russell’s RBI fielder’s choice closed UT’s scoring later in the frame.

Vols’ pitcher Chad Dallas started and went 5.1 innings. He surrender one run, one hit, two walks, while striking out three as he improved to 2-0 this season.

Sean Hunley threw two innings and gave up one run, one hit and one walk, while fanning three.

Kirby Conell did not retire a batter in his stint on the hill, but Redmond Walsh picked up his third save in 2021.

He went 1.2 innings and yielded a hit, but recorded all five of the Spartans’ outs via strikeout.
