1 iOL prospect for the Colts in each round of NFL draft

Taking a look at the best C/G prospects for the Colts.

The Indianapolis Colts are closing in on the 2023 NFL draft where they likely will use a number of their picks to address the offensive line.

One of the biggest needs that remain throughout the offseason is the interior offensive line. While Quenton Nelson holds down the left guard spot, center Ryan Kelly was the subject of trade rumors, and the right guard position currently doesn’t have a projected starter.

There are still some free agents the Colts could target for the right guard position, but we should expect them to dive heavily into the draft class next weekend.

For the purpose of covering both centers and guards, we proposed a “best prospect fit” for each position in each round.

Following this series of articles, we’ve also looked at these positions:

Colts’ 7-round mock draft with trades

In this mock draft, the Colts make a few trades early on.

The Indianapolis Colts are less than a month away from the start of the 2023 NFL draft, which means there is going to be a lot of information and projections coming out of the woodwork over the next few weeks.

That includes conducting mock drafts and projecting what the Colts will do with their nine selections. We should expect a number of trades as general manager Chris Ballard has never gone through a draft without making a deal in some capacity.

Rams 2023 Draft Prospect Profile: Jon Gaines II (IOL, UCLA)

Jon Gaines could be a viable Day 3 pick for the Rams if they’re looking to add an IOL in the 2023 NFL draft.

Building a solid foundation along the offensive line is vital to a team’s long-term success in the NFL. The Los Angeles Rams experienced turmoil in their offensive line room in 2022 en route to the team allowing 59 sacks and finishing with a 5-12 record.

In the last two offseasons, the Rams have lost David Edwards and Austin Corbett at both guard spots. Coleman Shelton re-signed with the Rams this offseason, while Brian Allen also restructured his contract with the organization.

To conclude the interior offensive linemen prospect profiles for the 2023 NFL draft, Jon Gaines II out of UCLA is a viable Day 3 selection for the Rams.

Colts’ 7-round mock draft pre-NFL free agency

Here’s a 7-round mock draft for the Colts ahead of free agency in 2023.

The Indianapolis Colts are set to embark on the start of free agency Monday as the legal tampering period officially arrives. That means we’re one step closer to the 2023 NFL draft.

Though the Colts aren’t expected to be major players in free agency, we do expect them to address some positions, such as right guard. In this mock draft scenario, they used free agency to find their starting right guard.

Colts’ 7-round mock draft post NFL combine

Here’s a 7-round mock draft for the Colts following the NFL combine.

The 2023 NFL Scouting Combine has come and gone, which means it’s time to roll out another seven-round mock draft for the Indianapolis Colts.

With the majority of athletic testing numbers assigned to hundreds of prospects, the Colts will have a better idea of what type of athletes they are dealing with in this class.

But as we know with the Colts, the interviews and face-to-face meetings with these prospects are just as important as their production and measurements. Unfortunately, that’s a side of the draft process we get little insight into.

So with the combine now behind us, here’s an updated look at a seven-round mock for the Colts using Pro Football Network’s mock draft simulator:
