Utah Jazz at Golden State Warriors odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Utah Jazz at Golden State Warriors odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Utah Jazz (29-48) take on the Golden State Warriors (42-35) Sunday. Tip-off from Chase Center is at 8:30 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Jazz vs. Warriors odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Warriors lead 2-0

The Jazz are reeling. They have lost 11 straight games and 14 of their last 15. They last played Friday, falling 131-102 to the LA Clippers and failing to cover the 12.5-point spread as road underdogs.

The Warriors hold on to the 10th seed and final berth in the play-in tournament, leading the Houston Rockets by 4 games. They are 2 games behind 9th-place Sacramento. They had a 6-game winning streak snapped Friday in a 108-106 road loss to the Dallas Mavericks as 1-point underdogs.

Jazz at Warriors picks and predictions

Prediction

Warriors 131, Jazz 118

Moneyline

The Jazz have lost 11 straight games overall and 12 straight on the road. They have been eliminated from postseason contention, while the Warriors (-700) are fighting for seeding and perhaps trying to get to the No. 6 seed in order to avoid the play-in tournament.

Even with Curry resting, it isn’t enough to predict the Jazz will suddenly pull the upset over a Warriors team that has won 6 of 7.

But don’t bet the Warriors at -700. Those are terrible odds to bet.

PASS.

Against the spread

The Warriors covered the spread in both wins over Utah in February, although they were just 2.5- and 1-point favorites in those games.

The Warriors have covered the spread in 24 of their last 25 victories, while the Jazz have only covered the spread in 3 of their last 14 losses.

BET WARRIORS -11.5 (-115).

Over/Under

Both previous meetings had totals of 236 and 277.

The Jazz have allowed 127 points or more in 3 straight games.

BET OVER 226.5 (-110).

Utah Jazz at Golden State Warriors odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Utah Jazz at Golden State Warriors odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Utah Jazz (46-31) visit Chase Center Saturday to take on the Golden State Warriors (48-29). Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Jazz vs. Warriors odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

With the Warriors having slowly fallen out of the top spot in the Western Conference, they’ll now have to stave off Utah and Denver for 4th in the standings as the season winds down.

This is an extremely important game for West seeding.

The Dubs will be without two-time MVP PG Stephen Curry. Since his injury March 16, the Warriors are just 1-6 and 2-5 against the spread (ATS). Golden State is 37-36-4 ATS on the season.

As for Utah, it is coming off a 13-point home win over the Lakers Thursday, just failing to cover as a 14-point favorite. The Jazz are 31-43-3 ATS this season.

SG Donovan Mitchell leads the Jazz in points (26.1), assists (5.4) and steals (1.5) per game. They are 1-2 straight up and 1-1-1 ATS against the Warriors this season.

Jazz at Warriors odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Jazz 115, Warriors 109

Money line

PASS.

Utah has just one 1-point victory this entire season. Considering how the Warriors have played without Curry, I’ll take Utah to win by more than 1.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

LEAN to the JAZZ -1.5 (-115).

The Warriors can’t be trusted to produce without Curry on the floor. They’ve struggled against the spread and straight-up with their star sidelined.

Finally healthy, the Jazz have all the momentum. Their size, behind C Rudy Gobert, should overpower the Warriors’ frontcourt.

The Jazz have the No. 1 offensive rating in the NBA. That’s by no accident either as they’ve been unstoppable. The Warriors’ defensive rating, which was at historic levels for most of the season, has relapsed to No. 3.

Over their last 6 games, the Dubs’ offensive rating has fallen to No. 29. The only way to play a Curry-less Warriors is by betting on their opponents.

In this instance, it’s the surging JAZZ -1.5 (-115).

Over/Under

BET OVER 217.5 (-107).

The Jazz have gone Over the projected total in back-to-back games, while the Warriors are 3-2 O/U in their last 5.

While Curry being out has hurt the Warriors’ offense, his defensive aptitude has also been a factor in their struggles, having fallen to No. 14 in defensive rating since his absence. It’s unlikely Golden State will have much ability to limit Utah.

Golden State SG Jordan Poole has averaged 28.1 points per game since Curry’s injury. Poole may be able to have his way against Utah PG Mike Conley and a defense that allows the 18th-most points to opposing guards.

Combine it all, and I’ll take the OVER 217.5 (-107).

Utah Jazz at Golden State Warriors odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Utah Jazz at Golden State Warriors odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The NBA’s second-and third-best teams by net rating meet when the Utah Jazz (30-16) visit the Golden State Warriors (33-13) Sunday. Tip-off at the Chase Center is set for 8:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Jazz vs. Warriors odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Utah snapped a two-game losing skid by defeating the Detroit Pistons 111-101 Friday but failed to cover as 14.5-point favorites.

In the last 14 days, the Jazz are just 2-4 straight-up (SU) and 1-5 against the spread (ATS) with a minus-0.3 adjusted net rating (ranked 18th) and the worst ATS margin at minus-11.4, according to CleaningTheGlass.com (CTG).

Golden State eked past the Houston Rockets 105-103 at home Friday thanks to a G Stephen Curry buzzer-beater but couldn’t cover as 13-point favorites.

Over the past two weeks, the Warriors are 4-4 SU and 3-5 ATS with a plus-2.1 adjusted net rating (ranked 12th) and the 25th-ranked ATS margin at minus-2.8, per CTG.

The Warriors have won and covered three straight meetings with the Jazz, which includes a 123-116 victory in Utah on New Year’s Day.

Jazz at Warriors odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Warriors 111, Jazz 104

Money line

PASS since these are two of the most efficient teams in the NBA, so the Warriors (-165) is too expensive despite how poorly the Jazz (+170) have been playing recently.

Against the spread

“LEAN” to the WARRIORS -5.5 (-105) for a half-unit, which would be upgraded to a full unit if Gobert misses this game.

The Jazz +5.5 (-120) are already going to be without their leading scorer in Mitchell and Gobert grades in the 94th percentile of bigs in adjusted on/off net rating, per CTG.

Furthermore, the Jazz run the highest rate of pick-and-roll (PnR) offense. Gobert is key to Utah’s PnR action. Also, the Warriors have the best PnR defensive efficiency versus ball handlers.

On top of that, Golden State has performed much better against top-10 teams in adjusted net rating than Utah.

The Warriors are second in adjusted net rating versus top-10 teams (CTG) and 13-6 ATS versus teams above-.500 (5-1 ATS at home).

Whereas the Jazz are 4-11 ATS versus teams above-.500 (2-4 ATS on the road) and have the 22nd-ranked ATS margin at minus-3.1 versus top-10 teams (CTG).

Finally, since the beginning of last season, Utah is an NBA-worst 2-5 ATS as a road underdog with the worst ATS margin at minus-4.6.

On the other hand, Golden State is an NBA’s best 28-15-1 ATS as a home favorite with a plus-3.4 ATS margin (ranked second) over that time span.

Over/Under

BET the UNDER 219.5 (-107) for 1 unit as my favorite wager in the Jazz-Warriors game.

As previously mentioned, Utah is definitely without its best shot creator and could be without an elite rim runner and offensive rebounder (Gobert).

Also, Golden State is ranked 27th in adjusted offensive rating over the past two weeks but fourth in adjusted defensive rating (per CTG).

Lastly, the Under has cashed in three of Utah’s past four games, the Jazz are 9-12-1 O/U on the road and the Warriors are 7-15-2 O/U as a home favorite.

Utah Jazz at Golden State Warriors odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Monday’s Utah Jazz at Golden State Warriors NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Utah Jazz (50-18) travel to meet the Golden State Warriors (35-33) Monday at Chase Center in San Francisco. Tip-off is set for 10 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Jazz vs. Warriors odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Jazz enter on a five-game win streak while cashing against the spread (ATS) in three of the past four outings. The Over has also hit in three in a row for Utah.

The Warriors pounded the Oklahoma City Thunder in a two-game series sweep, winning 118-97 on Thursday, and 136-97 on Saturday. The Dubs have won four of the past five overall, while also going 4-1 ATS during the span.

Jazz at Warriors: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Warriors 122, Jazz 117

Money line (ML)

The WARRIORS (+125) are worth a look as underdogs on their home court, as they have done it before against the Jazz (-150).

Golden State topped Utah 131-119 on March 14 in San Francisco, winning outright as 7.5-point underdogs as the Over cashed.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The WARRIORS +3 (-110) aren’t as good a value as they are playing them straight up, but you do buy a little bit of wiggle room in the event of a one-possession game.

If the Jazz -3 (-110) win by a bucket, you would still win, but personally, I like the Warriors much better straight up.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 226.5 (-110) is the play there. Utah has scored 124 or more points in each of the past three outings, hitting the Over in each. The Over is 5-2 in the previous seven for the Jazz, too.

The Over hit in the second end of the OKC back-to-back for the Warriors, and the Over is 2-0 in the first two meetings between these teams this season, too.

Bucks at Wizards: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Jazz 120, Warriors 110

Money line (ML

PASS on the money line here as the Jazz are overwhelming road favorites over the Warriors. At -275, it’s just too much risk, especially against Steph Curry at home.

Utah is likely to win this game as they currently hold the best record in the NBA. But Golden State is 12-6 at home this season and they have the potential to outshoot any team in the league.

Look to the point spread instead as it presents much better value on the Jazz.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

JAZZ 6.5 (-110) is our pick here despite them going 1-4 ATS in their last five games. They won their first game since the All-Star break, defeating the Rockets by 15 points on Friday night.

The Jazz have now won five straight games against the Warriors and have covered in nine of their last 11 games when these two teams meet, according to Oddsshark.com.

Utah is 11-8 ATS on the road this season and expect them to add another win to their already impressive resume on Sunday.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 229.5 (-115) is our lean here as both teams are among the better offenses in the NBA. Utah currently has the No. 3 scoring offense in the NBA, averaging 116.5 points per game.

Golden State scores my points at home compared to the road and is averaging nearly 117 points per game at Chase Center this season. If both teams can come close to their averages, this game should hit with relative ease.

Look for a ton of scoring in this contest as this should be a fast-paced game at the Chase Center.
