The Utah Jazz (29-39) visit the Oklahoma City Thunder (47-20) Wednesday. Tip-off from Paycom Center is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Jazz vs. Thunder odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Thunder lead 2-1

Utah has lost back-to-back games after falling 114-104 against the Minnesota Timberwolves Monday and failing to cover as a 4-point home underdog. G Collin Sexton scored a team-high 24 points while F Lauri Markkanen had a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. The Jazz shot 46.4% from the field in the loss.

Oklahoma City has won back-to-back games after taking down the Memphis Grizzlies 118-112 Saturday and failing to cover as a 10.5-point road favorite. F Jalen Williams scored a game-high 23 points, and F Chet Holmgren added a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Six Thunder players, including every starter, scored in double figures, and the team shot 51.7% from the field in the win.

Jazz at Thunder picks and predictions

Prediction

Thunder 123, Jazz 113

Moneyline

PASS.

There is no value on the Thunder (-1100), who are 7-3 in their last 10 games, to beat the Jazz, who are 2-8 in their last 10.

Against the spread

LEAN JAZZ +15.5 (-115).

OKC is just 2-7 ATS in its last 9 games, including 1-6 ATS in its last 7 and 1-3 ATS in its last 4 at home. It is just 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games as a favorite of 8.5 or more points.

The Jazz are 4-4 ATS in their last 8 games and have only lost 4 of their last 10 by 15 or more. With Markkanen sidelined, and possibly Collins too, Utah will face an uphill battle, but 15.5 points is too many to bet against it.

Over/Under

BET OVER 232.5 (-105).

The Jazz have an Over record of 37-29-2 this season, while the Thunder’s is 38-28-1.

Utah has scored 117 or more points with the Over hitting in 5 of its last 8 games and allowed 115 or more in 9 of its last 10.

Oklahoma City has hit the Over in back-to-back games and scored 118 or more points in 3 of its last 4. It has allowed 112 or more points in each of its last 3 games and 6 of its last 9.

Utah Jazz at Oklahoma City Thunder odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Utah Jazz at Oklahoma City Thunder odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Utah Jazz (31-33) and Oklahoma City Thunder (29-34) meet Sunday at Paycom Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Jazz vs. Thunder odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

This season series is tied 1-1 with the Over hitting in 1 of the 2 meetings.

In the most recent meeting Friday, Oklahoma City covered as a 1-point home favorite with a 130-103 win as the Over (231) hit. G Aaron Wiggins scored a game-high 27 points off the bench for the Thunder, who snapped a 5-game skid.

Oklahoma City All-Star G Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (health and safety protocols, abdominal strain) is available Sunday after missing 4 straight games.

The Thunder are 0-2-2 against the spread (ATS) in their last 4 games after a win by more than 10 points. The Jazz are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 after allowing more than 125 points in their previous contest.

Jazz at Thunder picks and predictions

Prediction

Thunder 115, Jazz 114

Moneyline

PASS.

Oklahoma City (-230) should win, but its moneyline is a little inflated due to the absence of F Lauri Markkanen and the return of Gilgeous-Alexander. Bet the spread and/or total instead.

Against the spread

BET JAZZ +6.5 (-115).

Jordan Clarkson and F Kelly Olynyk are capable enough scorers to carry the offensive load for 1 game in the absence of Markkanen. While this may not be enough to get the straight-up win, Utah should be able to keep it close. The Jazz have performed well in similar situations and are tied for the 3rd-best cover percentage as an away underdog this season at 63.6% (14-8-1 ATS).

While Gilgeous-Alexander’s return obviously upgrades Oklahoma City, the Thunder are just 1-4-2 ATS in their last 7 games after a win. Look for Oklahoma City to let down after Friday’s rout of the Jazz.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 236.5 (-115).

The Under is 5-1 in Utah’s last 6 games and 17-7 in the Jazz’ last 24 after allowing more than 125 points in their previous contest. The Under has hit in 16 of Utah’s last 21 games vs. teams with a losing record and is 10-2 in Oklahoma City’s last 12 when playing in the same situation. Look for Utah to score less than usual in the absence of Markkanen and for Gilgeous-Alexander to be less productive than expected coming off an injury.

Utah Jazz at Oklahoma City Thunder odds, picks and predictions

The Utah Jazz (31-32) visit the Oklahoma City Thunder (28-34) Friday. Tip-off from Paycom Center is set for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Jazz vs. Thunder odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Utah leads the season series 1-0 with 3 matchups remaining. Utah won 120-119 in overtime on Feb. 23 as a 1/2-point favorites as the 239.5 Under cashed.

Utah lost 102-94 Tuesday vs. the San Antonio Spurs, failing to cover as 9.5-point home favorites. The loss snapped a 2-game win streak.

Jazz at Thunder picks and predictions

Prediction

Thunder 114, Jazz 110

Moneyline

AVOID.

This line suggests that Vegas thinks this game will be a lot closer than I do with OKC missing a lot of players due to injury. I could easily see either team winning so I would avoid this bet.

Against the spread

LEAN THUNDER -1.5 (-105).

Utah is 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 road games, but OKC is 12-4-1 ATS in the last 17 overall meetings with the Jazz and 18-7-1 in the last 26 meetings in Oklahoma City.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 231.5 (-112).

The Under is 5-0 in Utah’s last 5 overall and 4-0 when playing an opponent that allowed 100+ points in the previous game. The Under is also 9-3 in the last 12 meetings overall. The Over is hot for OKC right now but the Under is still the safer bet.

Utah Jazz at Oklahoma City Thunder odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Utah Jazz at Oklahoma City Thunder odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Utah Jazz (39-23) visit Paycom Center Sunday to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder (20-43). Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Jazz vs. Thunder odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Jazz may have covered six of their last 10 games but they haven’t played well as of late with just one cover in their last five outings. Utah is 27-33-2 against the spread (ATS) on the season.

The Jazz haven’t been destroying teams this season despite their 39-23 record and the league’s third-best net rating (plus-6.0). Utah is led by G Donovan Mitchell who averages 25.9 points per game.

The Thunder are the second-best covering team in the NBA with a 37-22-4 ATS record.

However, they’re still 7 games outside of play-in contention with just 20 wins on the season. The Thunder are led by G Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who is averaging 23.8 points per game.

Jazz at Thunder odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Jazz 116, Thunder 112

Money line

PASS.

There is some credibility to backing the Thunder at +750 as they just knocked off the Denver Nuggets 119-107 at Ball Arena Wednesday, but I’d still shy away and play the points.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

“LEAN” to the THUNDER +13.5 (-108).

The Thunder are 3-2 ATS when spotted double figures Since the Feb. 10 trade deadline, including a win in Denver as 15.5-point underdogs.

OKC is 14-11-4 ATS as a home underdog, a position the Thunder have often found themselves in. The Thunder rank 10th in defensive rating (109.3) and 12th in turnover rate (13.7).

Utah’s defensive play has actually not been close to what it was a season ago as the Jazz are 13th in defensive rating (109.8) as compared to third last season. The Jazz are just 7-14-1 ATS as double-digit favorites.

Putting it all together, I’d side with OKC in this one.

Over/Under

BET on the OVER 220.5 (-108).

With SGA having been back in action since Feb. 24, the Thunder have hit the Over in four of five games and pushed in the other one.

They’re 6-0-1 O/U over their last seven games, so SGA has helped spark their offense. He’s scored 29 points or more in all five games since his return. Utah has gone Over the projected total in three of its last four as well.

The Thunder are first in pace over their last five games and SGA has been pushing the ball. I’d bet on that happening again Sunday.

Utah Jazz at Oklahoma City Thunder odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Utah Jazz at Oklahoma City Thunder odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Utah Jazz (11-6) travel to Paycom Center Wednesday to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder (6-11). Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Jazz vs. Thunder odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Led by C Rudy Gobert, a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, and G Donovan Mitchell, the Jazz have won just five of their last ten games.

They’ve disappointed after a 6-1 start to the season. One of the most complete teams in the NBA, Utah is 10-7 against the spread (ATS) and 7-10 over/under (O/U).

The Thunder have been led by star G Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but they’ll be short-handed as their best player is sidelined. No SGA means the Thunder will rely on G Lu Dort and F Darius Bazley more.

Oklahoma City is typically a heavy underdog but is 11-6 ATS and 5-12 O/U. The Thunder are 4-4 at home, so they have had success at Paycom this season.

Jazz at Thunder odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Jazz 111, Thunder 96

Money line

PASS on the money line.

There is zero reasons why the Jazz should lose this game, but one should never bet on a -1000 favorite given how regular-season NBA basketball works. The +600 has little value either in this situation with SGA sidelined.

Against the spread

BET on the JAZZ -12.5 (-110) as SGA’s absence makes all the difference.

The Thunder are still 6 points worse than their opponents with SGA on the court, but they’re 5.4 points per 100 possessions better with him than without him.

OKC has played better lately but still has the second-worst offensive rating in the NBA. That will likely plummet under 95 Wednesday as they’ll be banking on inefficient rookie G Josh Giddey to produce.

With G Mike Conley, Gobert and Mitchell on the other side of the court, I’m betting on the proven team. The Jazz have won three of their last four games, all by 16 or more points.

Over/Under

“LEAN” to the UNDER 210.5 (-107) as OKC will have no consistent scoring. Dort and Giddey will be asked to do more which isn’t a good thing.

Without SGA on the court, their offense will be depleted and may be almost nonexistent, especially against Gobert.

The Thunder’s strength is also in their defense, so they should be able to limit Mitchell with Dort’s aggression. I expect the Jazz to struggle a bit.

The Under feels like the better play with SGA out and the Jazz among the best defensive teams in the NBA.

Jazz at Thunder: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Jazz 118, Thunder 106

Money line (ML)

The Jazz (-300) should win this handily but it’s not worth the risk of a money line bet. We’ll PASS on the ML and focus our bets on the spread and the Over/Under.

OKC beat the Charlotte Hornets 109-107 in its season-opener but will be facing a much deeper and more talented team Monday. Utah dropped the Portland Trail Blazers 120-100 on the road last Wednesday but took a 116-111 loss on home court against the Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday.

The Thunder took two of three games in last season’s head-to-head series, but that was before key offseason departures including PG Chris Paul and C Steven Adams.

Against the spread (ATS)

The JAZZ -7.5 (-110) are the team to back while needing them to win by at least 8 points. They covered easily as 2-point road favorites against the Blazers but were stunned as 9-point favorites against the ‘Wolves. The Thunder covered easily as 3-point dogs Saturday, but again, the degree of difficulty is being ramped up Monday.

Jazz C Rudy Gobert is the biggest mismatch on the floor at both ends of the court for the Thunder. He has grabbed 17 rebounds in each of his first two games of the season and has scored 20 and 18 points. Thunder G Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is his team’s best player, but he’ll be kept busy against the Jazz’s backcourt duo of Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley.

Over/Under (O/U)

Take the UNDER 220.5 (-110) with the Thunder falling shy of this number Saturday and the Jazz being 0-2 against the O/U thus far.

Last season’s meetings played to point totals of 195, 194 and 204 points. Despite the exodus of talent on the OKC side, Monday’s total sits at an inflated 220.5.
