Offensive lineman in the 2025 class decommits from Clemson

Swinney and the Tigers lose a commitment from their 2025 class.

Clemson football’s 2025 recruiting class dropped from 11 players to 10 on Friday.

Trinity Christian Academy (Addison, Texas) three-star offensive lineman Jaylan Beckley took to social media Friday to announce his decommitment from Clemson. After committing on January 28th, Beckley no longer plans to join the Tigers.

“I am so thankful to Coach Swinney, Coach Riley, and the entire coaching and support staff at Clemson,” Beckley wrote in a social media post. “There are so many people that took the time to recruit me and made a sincere effort to build a relationship with me and my family. I met some incredible people at Clemson, including the other recruits, awesome Clemson fans, reporters & more – I truly wish them all the very best and I hope to maintain some of those relationships going forward.

“After much prayer, reflection, and countless discussions with my family and mentors, I’ve decided that I need more time to make this very big decision about where I will spend the next 3-5 years for my college career. The final decision was mine alone, and I do not take it lightly. I have nothing but love for Tiger Town. Thank you for all that continue to support me on this journey, I’m extremely blessed to have some incredible opportunities ahead. My recruitment is officially re-opened.”

The Tigers will look to continue to bolster their offensive line elsewhere in the 2025 class.

Where Clemson Ranks in 2025 Recruiting Rankings After Multiple Huge Commitments

Clemson is flying up 2025 team recruiting rankings after multiple huge commitments.

Excitement brews for Clemson football as their recruiting efforts gain momentum.

Under the guidance of head coach Dabo Swinney, the Tigers find themselves in a unique position. With Swinney at the helm, Clemson’s approach diverges from conventional programs as they steer clear of the transfer portal. Instead, they invest heavily in recruiting, a strategy that demands success.

Despite being in the early stages of the 2025 recruiting cycle, Clemson emerges as a powerhouse. Within a mere 24 hours, the Tigers secured commitments from three four-star recruits, addressing critical positions. On the offensive line, they landed Brayden Jacobs and Jaylan Beckley while landing Isaiah Campbell on the defensive line.

With this excellent run of recruiting, the Tigers have flown up team recruiting rankings for the 2025 class. Check out Clemson’s 2025 class ranking for three major recruiting platforms below.

Clemson lands another four-star recruit in offensive lineman Jaylan Beckley

Clemson landed four-star OL recruit Jaylan Beckley Sunday.

Dabo Swinney and offensive line coach Matt Luke added their second OL recruit of the day Sunday when they secured a commitment from Jaylan Beckley, a 6’5″, 300-pound prospect out of Trinity Christian Academy in Addison, Texas.

Rivals.com rates Beckley a four-star prospect in the class of 2025 while on3 Sports has him as a three-star recruit. Clemson beat out LSU, Oklahoma, and in-state schools SMU, Baylor and Texas A&M for Beckley’s commitment. Purdue also extended an offer to Beckley earlier in the month.

According to Rivals, Beckley is the 30th best offensive tackle in the class of 2025, as well as the 56th best prospect from the state of Texas.

Beckley announced his recruitment to Clemson on Twitter/X Sunday.

Beckley added to what was already a good week by Swinney and his assistants. Earlier Sunday, four-star offensive tackle Brayden Jacobs committed to Clemson over South Carolina and others. Jacobs is the No. 14 offensive tackle and the No. 123 overall player in the 2025 class, according to 247Sports rankings. His father, Brandon Jacobs, spent eight years in the NFL and won two Super Bowl rings with New York Giants.

Both Beckley and Jacobs were recruited by Luke, the former Ole Miss head coach who joined Swinney’s staff in December.

Beckley is the third four-star recruit to commit to Clemson in the past week, joining defensive end Ari Watford (Norfolk, Va.).

2025 OT Jaylan Beckley grabs Auburn offer

Auburn becomes the latest to offer this popular 2025 prospect.

It is early in the recruiting process for those in the 2025 recruiting cycle, but Auburn is getting a head start on an offensive lineman from Texas.

[autotag]Jaylan Beckley[/autotag], a 2025 offensive tackle from Addison, Texas, has been getting plenty of attention recently from the nation’s top programs. Auburn is the latest program to jump on board by extending an offer.

Beckley’s recruitment has taken off this summer, as he has landed 13 offers since April 26, when Duke extended an offer. Several of the schools that have an interest in Beckley are Auburn, Florida State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and Clemson. Houston was the first program to offer Beckley, doing so in May of 2022.

Due to the early nature of his recruitment, Beckley has not received a rating from 247Sports or On3. However, he has great size standing at 6-5, 275 pounds. Several notable 2025 prospects with Auburn offers include four-star RB Alvin Henderson, five-star TE Davon Mitchell, and four-star OL Justin Hasenhuetl.
