Top ranked safety KJ Bolden sets up Auburn visit

Bolden has included Auburn in his itinerary of visits.

[autotag]KJ Bolden[/autotag], a highly-ranked defensive back in the class of 2024 from Buford High School in Georgia, has scheduled a visit to Auburn.

The visit is scheduled for Auburn’s bye week per Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports.

“Auburn is set for the first weekend in October when Buford is on a bye week.”

The six-foot-one, 185-pound athlete currently holds 40 college offers. Other than Auburn, Bolden holds offers from high-level programs such as Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, Florida State, and Oregon. Those are all of the programs that Bolden has a “warm” level of interest in according to 247Sports.

Bolden is a five-star recruit with a 0.9957 composite rating according to 247Sports. The Buford, Georgia native is the No. nine-ranked player in the class of 2024, the No. one-ranked safety and the No. two ranked players in the state of Georgia.

Auburn is yet to land a safety commit in the class of 2024, but the Tigers have landed two four-star recruits at cornerback, [autotag]A’Mon Lane[/autotag] and [autotag]Jayden Lewis[/autotag].

Auburn earns place in four star safety Zaquan Patterson’s top five

Patterson is the No. 3 safety for the 2024 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports.

One of the country’s top safeties is considering Auburn.

[autotag]Zaquan Patterson[/autotag], a four-star safety from Miami Gardens, Florida, recently dropped his top-five list and has included Auburn.

Auburn has had success at recruiting for the defensive side of the ball for the 2024 cycle, as they have added two four-star cornerbacks to their list in [autotag]A’Mon Lane[/autotag] and [autotag]Jayden Lewis[/autotag]. Adding a talented safety such as Patterson, who is the No. 3 overall safety for the 2024 class, would be incredible for [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] and his staff.

Patterson shared why he has included Auburn in his top schools list with On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

“Auburn is just filled with genuine people who just want the best for their players. I’ve been around the program since about 12 and they’re really a family up there.”

According to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, Auburn has work to do in order to haul in Patterson, as Miami is the overwhelming favorite to land him with a 90.9% chance to earn his signature. However, on 247Sports, he has not received a crystal ball projection.

Patterson is also considering Michigan, Ohio State, Miami, and Florida State.

Tight end Martavious Collins commits to Auburn

He was previously committed to Alabama before backing off his pledge.

[autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] and Auburn have pulled off yet another flip. This time it’s three-star tight end [autotag]Martavious Collins[/autotag] who was previously committed to Alabama.

The Rome, Georgia product announced the news Friday afternoon when he picked the Tigers over Florida State and a host of other schools.

While multiple coaches put in the work to pull off the flip, tight end coach [autotag]Ben Aigamaua[/autotag] led the charge for Collins.

Collins committed to Alabama back in July but Auburn never stopped recruiting him. He visited in September and January prior to backing off his pledge to the Crimson Tide. He then returned for the A-Day game and tabbed Auburn as his leader.

The 6-foot-3, 241-pounder is a traditional tight end who has the athleticism to be a receiving threat but his blocking ability is the strength of his game. He can line up on the line of scrimmage or in the backfield.

Collins is the No. 507 overall player and No. 50 athlete in the 247Sports Composite ranking. He is also the No. 54 player from Georgia.

He is Auburn’s fifth commit of the 2024 recruiting cycle, joining four-star quarterback [autotag]Walker White[/autotag], four-star running back [autotag]J’Marion Burnette[/autotag], and four-star cornerbacks [autotag]A’Mon Lane[/autotag] and [autotag]Jayden Lewis[/autotag].

Auburn is likely not done recruiting tight ends this cycle as they are expected to take two with the second one being a bigger factor in the receiving game.

Who will be Auburn football’s next 2024 commit? Keep an eye on these offensive prospects

Auburn could have a talented 2024 haul on the offensive side of the football, especially on the offensive line.

Auburn football ended the 2023 cycle by climbing out of the depths of the Power Five rankings and ending with a top 25 class.

Hugh Freeze and staff are off to a great start in 2024 as well as they have currently landed four 4-star prospects in CB [autotag]A’Mon Lane[/autotag], CB [autotag]Jayden Lewis[/autotag], RB [autotag]J’Marion Burnette[/autotag], and QB [autotag]Walker White[/autotag].

Burnette was the latest 2024 product to commit to Auburn when he did so on March 24. The Andalusia native chose Auburn over programs such as AlabamaGeorgia, and Florida State. White has been the headliner as he commits to Auburn as the top-ranked prospect from the state of Arkansas. He has also been an auxiliary member of the coaching staff by publically recruiting Auburn’s 2024 class on social media.

Who will be Auburn’s next commit? On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine suggests that seven offensive prospects are currently favored to commit to Auburn. When looking for Auburn’s next commit, here are the seven names that you need to keep an eye on.

Two SEC schools are co-leaders for four-star wide receiver Mario Craver

Several schools are in pursuit of Mario Craver but Auburn and Florida are standing out to the four-star wide receiver.

Auburn is looking to sign an impressive wide receiver class in the 2024 recruiting cycle and a key target is four-star receiver [autotag]Mario Craver[/autotag].

Craver is from Pinson, Alabama and the Tigers are one of the top teams in his recruitment. They are battling a host of other schools, but Craver told Blake Alderman of 247Sports that Auburn and Florida are his top two schools.

“Amazing, he said of the process. “It’s really going pretty quick. This is the moment where everyone is starting to push. I am trying to stay true to who has been sticking with me the longest and try to see through the fake.”

The 5-foot-9, 152-pounder took unofficial visits to both schools in March and is planning to officially visit both later this spring or in the summer. He also revealed that he plans to commit before his senior season starts.

Craver is the No. 239 overall player and No. 35 wide receiver in the 247Sports Composite ranking. He is also the No. 14 player from Alabama.

[autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] and Auburn have already landed an impressive haul of in-state targets in the 2024 cycle. They have commitments from the No. 8 ([autotag]J’Marion Burnette[/autotag]), No. 18 ([autotag]A’Mon Lane[/autotag]), and No. 22 ([autotag]Jayden Lewis[/autotag]) players in the state.

Auburn football adds fourth commit of the 2024 class

Four-star RB J’Marion Burnette has joined Auburn’s star-studded 2024 commitment list.

Ever since he committed to Auburn on Feb. 3, four-star QB [autotag]Walker White[/autotag] has been recruiting the top prospects from the 2024 recruiting cycle heavily.

On Friday, one of his top targets made their pledge to Auburn.

J’Marion Burnette, a four-star running back from Andalusia, announced Friday that he will be committing to Auburn and head coach [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] over Alabama, Georgia, and Florida State.

Burnette’s commitment will add to an already talented running back room for Auburn. [autotag]Jeremiah Cobb[/autotag] will join the roster this fall, and there is the possibility that [autotag]Damari Alston[/autotag] and [autotag]Jarquez Hunter[/autotag] could still be in the rotation in 2024. According to Auburn Undercover, Auburn is also heavily pursuing Tuscaloosa County running back [autotag]Kevin Riley[/autotag] as well.

His relationship with running backs coach [autotag]Cadillac Williams[/autotag] is what seems to have pushed Burnette in Auburn’s direction. He told Christian Clemente of AuburnUndercover during Junior Day on Jan. 28 that he has built a strong relationship with Williams, and that he “could see him coaching me in the future.”

Burnette is a four-star running back from Andalusia High School. He is the No. 10 prospect from the state of Alabama for the 2024 cycle and is the nation’s No. 10 running back. He joins a strong list of players that are committed to Auburn for the 2024 class which includes four-star QB [autotag]Walker  White[/autotag], four-star CB’s [autotag]A’Mon Lane[/autotag] and [autotag]Jayden Lewis[/autotag].

Four-star safety Kelvin Hunter puts Auburn in top 5

The Tigers will be battling Michigan, South Carolina, App State, and Virginia Tech for Hunter.

Four-star safety [autotag]Kelvin Hunter[/autotag] announced his top five schools Saturday and the Auburn Tigers made the cut.

They will be battling South Carolina, Michigan, Virginia Tech, and App State for the Florence, South Carolina, native.

It will be a tough task for the Tigers to pull him away from in-state Gamecocks. Three writers for 247Sports have crystal balled him to the Gamecocks and he has visited there more than anywhere else. However, the Tigers have arguably their top recruiter in secondary and safeties coach [autotag]Zac Etheridge[/autotag] leading the charge.

Hunter is the No. 307 overall player and No. 27 safety in the 247Sports Composite ranking. He is also the No. 6 player from South Carolina.

The 5-11, 181-pounder has not yet visited the Plains but with them making their top five a visit seems likely. He played multiple positions for West Florence High School and constantly his presence felt.

He made 103 tackles, 19.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, picked off one pass, broke up six passes, and forced four fumbles. He also blocked six kicks on special teams.

The Tigers are building an impressive defensive back class in the 2024 recruiting cycle with commitments from four-star cornerbacks [autotag]Jayden Lewis[/autotag] and [autotag]A’Mon Lane[/autotag]. Both of whom were recruited by Etheridge.

Auburn commit accepts invite to play in Under Armour All-American game

Auburn’s first 2024 commit will have the chance to showcase his skills in front of a national audience later this year.

A pivotal piece to Auburn’s already impressive 2024 recruiting class has committed to play in a prestigious All-American Game.

[autotag]A’Mon Lane[/autotag], a four-star cornerback from Moody, announced Wednesday that he had accepted an invitation to participate in the 2024 Under Armour All-American Game set to take place in Orlando in early January 2024. Lane got the offer after participating in the Under Armour All-American Camp last weekend in Atlanta.

After committing to the Tigers last July, Lane says that his versatility will hopefully increase his chances to play right away once he gets to the Plains.

“I know I can come in and play right away. I can play corner, star, or safety. Whatever you need me to play I can line up and do it,” Lane said in an interview with On3. “I can help take Auburn where they need to be… We will have the best 2024 class at Auburn. I just want to get it started.”

Lane became Auburn’s first 2024 commit in July, choosing Auburn over Arkansas, Florida State, Maryland, Michigan State, and others. Four-star CB [autotag]Jayden Lewis[/autotag] and four-star QB [autotag]Walker White[/autotag] join Lane as members of the 2024 recruiting class at Auburn.

Top quarterback target Walker White commits to Auburn

Auburn has landed its top quarterback target.

[autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] and Co. have landed Auburn’s top quarterback target.

Four-star quarterback [autotag]Walker White[/autotag] committed to the Tigers Friday. White, a member of the 2024 recruiting class, picked Auburn over Baylor and Clemson.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder is the No. 13 quarterback and No. 142 overall recruit in the 247Sports composite ranking. The Little Rock native is also the No. 1 player from Arkansas.

After hiring Freeze on Nov. 28 he quickly prioritized White. The Tigers offered him on Dec. 20 and visited his school in January before he took an unofficial visit to the Plains on Jan. 16.

He is Auburn’s third commit of the 2024 class and first offensive player. He joins four-star cornerbacks [autotag]Jayden Lewis[/autotag] and [autotag]A’Mon Lane[/autotag].

White did it all for Little Rock Christian Academy as a junior. He completed 53.2% of his passes for 1,975 yards and 25 touchdowns to nine interceptions. He added 837 yards and 16 rushing touchdowns for the Warriors.

He will be able to use his legs when he makes it to the Plains but he is a passer first with a big arm. He has the ability to elevate Auburn’s offense and can now help try to bring more weapons to Auburn.

Friday Night Notes: The Year of the Gamecock, Top 2024 recruit on the move again and more

South Carolina is on fire to start the new year.

USA TODAY High School Sports‘ Friday Night Notes is a weekly high school recruiting recap that looks at the latest news from around the country—from the Class of 2023 to ’24 and beyond.

South Carolina is on fire to start the new year. Over the last few weeks, head coach Shane Beamer has helped spearhead a recruiting surge that’s made Columbia the hottest destination in college football outside of Colorado.

The grand prize in this run has been getting the nation’s top uncommitted player to come on board. On Wednesday, top-ranked 2023 Athlete Nyckoles Harbor announced that he would attend South Carolina, dealing a blow to several other Power 5 programs in pursuit – including Michigan, Maryland and late-charging Oregon.

Harbor is just one of several blue-chip recruits that have signed on since the calendar flipped to 2023, though. Here’s who else they have picked up and where they now rank in this recruiting cycle and the next.

Woodland (SC) OT Kam Pringle

Ranked No. 46 overall and the No. 1 offensive tackle in the class of 2024, Pringle has literally been a massive (6-foot-7, 337 pounds) recruiter for the Gamecocks since committing on Jan. 22.

Here’s a look at Pringle pitching Harbor on Twitter:

Pringle had offers from 20 other schools, including Georgia, Clemson and Florida, which were the other main competitors.

Calvary Day (Ga.) TE Michael Smith

A couple days later, South Carolina also got a commitment from the No. 6 ranked tight end in the class in Smith (6-foot-4, 225 pounds). 30 other programs made Smith offers before he made his choice.

Greenville (SC) WR Mazeo Bennett

The latest recruit for Beamer and company just came in this morning when Bennett (6-foot-0, 180 pounds) announced for SC on Twitter:

Bennett is the third-ranked player in the state and is No. 31 among receivers in his class. He also had an offer from Tennessee and 22 all together, including most of the top programs in the SEC and ACC.

This all adds up to some serious momentum gained in the recruiting race. After adding Harbor, South Carolina’s recruiting class of 2023 now ranks No. 17 in the country. Their 2024 class is ranked No. 6 nationally.
