In his latest 2020 NFL mock draft with trades, USA TODAY’s Nate Davis has the Denver Broncos selecting South Carolina defensive lineman Javon Kinlaw with the 15th overall pick in the first round.
Here is Davis’ commentary with the selection:
Better D-line play makes OLBs Von Miller and Bradley Chubb more dangerous. Nice moves re-signing Shelby Harris and trading for Jurrell Casey, but both could be gone in a year. Kinlaw has the goods to anchor this group for a long time.
In Davis’ mock, star wide receivers Jerry Jeudy (No. 12; Oakland Raiders) and CeeDee Lamb (No. 13; San Francisco 49ers) are already off the board. Henry Ruggs is still available and Davis has Denver passing on him. Davis then mocks the Philadelphia Eagles trading up to No. 16 to draft Ruggs.
If Ruggs is still available at No. 15, it’s hard to imagine the Broncos actually passing on him on draft day.
