UFC 260 took place Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The main card streamed on ESPN+ pay-per-view after prelims on ESPN/ESPN+.

UFC 260 results: Jamie Mullarkey KOs Khama Worthy in 46 seconds to open pay-per-view

Jamie Mullarkey lived up to his promise not to let the judges decide his fight with Khama Worthy at UFC 260.

[autotag]Jamie Mullarkey[/autotag] promised not to let his third UFC fight be decided by the judges, and he more than lived up to that with a 46-second finish.

Mullarkey (13-4 MMA, 1-2 UFC) opened Saturday’s UFC 260 main card on pay-per-view at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas with a quick knockout of [autotag]Khama Worthy[/autotag] (16-8 MMA, 2-2 UFC), putting him in the promotion’s win column for the first time.

The lightweights opened the fight with striking exchanges, and before they could even get warmed up, Mullarkey planted a perfect shot across Worthy’s chin. Worthy face-planted into the canvas.

The win was the first since May 2019 for Australia’s Mullarkey. He gave credit to “The Ultimate Fighter” winner Ross Pearson for the boxing that got the job done, and said he knew when he landed on Worthy, the fight would be over.

“That’s a shout out to Ross Pearson, my man back home. When I hit the hook, it never does feel like it hit him hard enough, but I saw his eyes wobble ever-so-slightly, and I got the finish.”

UFC 260 Mullarkey vs. Worthy: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Mullarkey 12-4 | Worthy 16-7

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

WORTHY (-125) heads into this toss-up bout looking to bounce back after a Round 1 KO/TKO against Ottman Azaitar. Prior to that, he had won his first two UFC fights, with a KO/TKO win and one via submission.

Worthy steps into the octagon with a 4.12-to-1.87 significant strikes landed per minute advantage, and he leads 47.83-to-33.53 in significant strikes accuracy percentage.

The Aussie Mullarkey (+105) has lost via unanimous decision in each of his fights since arriving at the UFC. As such, Worthy is worth backing.

Over/Under (O/U)

While Worthy has finishes across his past four professional fights, it’s been a different story for Mullarkey. He has taken a pair of losses but has pushed his opponents to the limit, including a strong showing at UFC 243 against Brad Riddell in his UFC debut.

This won’t go Mullarkey’s way but expect to see the judges. As such, play WORTHY BY DECISION (+450) for a big payday on the 5-way line, and play YES (+150) ON ‘WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE?’ for a solid value.

The UFC is back in Las Vegas this week, and the heavyweight title is on the line at the top of the card in a big rematch.

UFC 260 takes place Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and early prelims on ESPN+.

(Click here to open a PDF of the staff picks grid in a separate window.)

In the main event, heavyweight champion [autotag]Stipe Miocic[/autotag] (20-3 MMA, 14-3 UFC) puts his title on the line against [autotag]Francis Ngannou[/autotag] (15-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC) in a rematch from a fight from more than three years ago. Miocic won that fight by unanimous decision, but despite that, Ngannou is a -125 favorite at BetMGM. It’s the opposite from our 13 editors, writers, videographers and radio hosts, though. From them, it’s Miocic with an 8-5 edge.

In the co-feature, [autotag]Vicente Luque[/autotag] (19-7-1 MMA, 12-3 UFC) is a -250 favorite against former welterweight champ [autotag]Tyron Woodley[/autotag] (19-6-1 MMA, 9-5-1 UFC), who has dropped three straight. Luque has a big picks lead at 10-3 from our staff members.

Also on the card, [autotag]Thomas Almeida[/autotag] (22-4 MMA, 5-4 UFC) takes on [autotag]Sean O’Malley[/autotag] (12-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) in a bantamweight bout. O’Malley is the biggest favorite on the card at -300, and he’s a near-unanimous pick at 12-1.

[autotag]Miranda Maverick[/autotag] (8-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) takes on [autotag]Gillian Robertson[/autotag] (9-5 MMA, 6-3 UFC) in a women’s flyweight bout that was delayed a few weeks. Maverick is a -160 favorite, but Robertson has a big 9-4 lead from our pickers and the edge in our reader picks, as well.

And to open the main card, [autotag]Jamie Mullarkey[/autotag] (12-4 MMA, 0-2 UFC) will look for his first UFC win against [autotag]Khama Worthy[/autotag] (16-7 MMA, 2-1 UFC) in a lightweight bout. Worthy only is a -135 favorite – but he’s our only unanimous pick on the main card at 13-0.

In the MMA Junkie reader consensus picks, Miocic (68 percent), Luque (72 percent), O’Malley (67 percent), Robertson (53 percent) and Worthy (78 percent) are the choices.

Check out all the picks above.

Nam stepped in on short notice in his UFC debut in September to replace an injured Alex Perez and take on top contender Sergio Pettis. He lost the bout via unanimous decision.
