Joe Rogan confused by people underestimating ‘f*cking dangerous’ Jamahal Hill at UFC 300

Joe Rogan thinks Jamahal Hill doesn’t get enough credit.

[autotag]Joe Rogan[/autotag] thinks [autotag]Jamahal Hill[/autotag] doesn’t get enough credit.

Hill (12-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) challenges light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira (9-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) in Saturday’s UFC 300 main event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The former UFC light heavyweight champion will look to reclaim the belt he vacated after tearing his achilles. Hill won the title with a beatdown of Pereira’s mentor Glover Teixeira at UFC 283 in January 2023.

“Jamahal Hill is f*cking dangerous,” Rogan said on the most recent episode of “The JRE MMA Show” podcast. “Watch the fight with Glover. He pieced Glover up, and Glover is f*cking good to piece him up like that on the feet. People underestimate (Hill) for some strange reason, and I don’t understand it. I’ve heard people talk about his power. Watch that Johnny Walker fight.

“He hit him in the forehead like he got hit by a sniper. He’s good. He’s f*cking dangerous. Jamahal’s a one-punch knockout striker at light heavyweight for sure. He’s a big, tall dude and he knows movement. He’s f*cking dangerous, man. A lot of people are picking Pereira to run him over, which I think is interesting. I’m not sure about that. I think this is going to be a great fight.”

According to BetMGM, Hill is a +120 underdog, meaning a $100 bet on the former champ would win $120 profit. Pereira is a -145 favorite, meaning a $145 bet on the champion would return $100 profit.

UFC 300’s Alex Pereira: Skill level, Jiri Prochazka superior to Jamahal Hill

Alex Pereira thinks Jiri Prochazka is a better striker than Jamahal Hill.

[autotag]Alex Pereira[/autotag] thinks [autotag]Jiri Prochazka[/autotag] is a better striker than [autotag]Jamahal Hill[/autotag].

Light heavyweight champion Pereira (9-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) makes his first title defense against ex-champ Hill (12-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) in Saturday’s UFC 300 headliner at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Pereira knocked out Prochazka to claim the vacant belt this past November at UFC 295. When asked to compare Prochazka and Hill’s striking, “Poatan” gave Prochazka the edge.

“I think Jiri is more accurate and precise with his strikes, the way that he flows, the way that he fights,” Pereira told CBS Sports’ Shakiel Mahjouri through an interpreter. “Jamahal Hill has a little more advantage on his power, which makes him dangerous, too, because nobody wants to take a hit and go down in a fight. But when you talk about skill level, Jiri Prochazka is superior.”

Four of Hill’s past five wins have come by knockout. His lone decision victory in that stretch came in a beatdown of Pereira’s mentor Glover Teixeira to claim the vacant title at UFC 283, which he later relinquished after tearing his achilles tendon.

Prochazka, who meets Aleksandar Rakic at UFC 300, is eager to run things back with Pereira. In a recent interview with Sportskeeda, Prochazka said he sees more weapons on Hill’s side than Pereira’s.

Jamahal Hill shares some awesomely bad UFC 300 walkout ideas – and we hope he follows through

Jamahal Hill can’t just walk out normal to the octagon at UFC 300 now – not after this.

[autotag]Jamahal Hill[/autotag] can’t just walk out normal to the octagon at UFC 300 now – not after this.

Hill, who will headline the April 13 milestone pay-per-view against light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira, took to his social media accounts Saturday to get some feedback from his followers on what his entrance should be when he makes his way to the cage at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

And, well, the awesomely bad options Hill gave us are freaking hilarious (via Instagram).

  • 2. The Maca-Runner
  • 1. King sh*t

Whatever Hill decides, he better pick something and not let us down!

Video: Jamahal Hill gives hilarious commentary in exaggerated UFC 300 prediction for Alex Pereira fight

Jamahal Hill has been having fun on social media leading up to UFC 300, and this prediction video is his best work yet.

It’s pretty clear to see [autotag]Jamahal Hill[/autotag] is enjoying his preparation for the main event of UFC 300.

Just take one glance at the former UFC light heavyweight champ’s social media feeds, and you’ll see he’s leaning into the hate thrown his way by those who believe Alex Pereira will emerge victorious at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on April 13.

Recently, Hill mocked “Poatan” Pereira’s fans by coining the term “Potards” in a Tweet (Are we really trying to make Xeet a thing?) that questions their logic about pre-fight consultation with Israel Adesanya.

Before that, Hill took a broader approach, questioning the logic of the entire MMA community:

But Hill’s most recent addition to his social media antics may be his best work yet. On TikTok, Hill posted a pre-enactment video predicting what will happen at UFC 300 when Pereira connects with a leg kick. The over-the-top acting and Hill’s hilarious commentary make it a must-watch.

“Oh, no. No. Hell no. I can see my leg, but I can’t feel that motherf*cker.”

“Is that a Tiger Woods 9 iron on your leg?”

“There’s been a misunderstanding, these things for walking.”

“Coach talking about a check, the only check I’ma get is for showing up.”

“I’m about to check if he can beat me in a race because he ain’t fixing to keep beating on my leg.”

After trying to escape the leg kicks in the first half of the video, Hill switched to Pereira’s perspective on “how it’s really going to go” when he checks those leg kicks:

“Man, what the f*ck is your leg made of?”

“He checked my kick like Nike. My nerves and feelings have checked completely out.”

“Maybe I should stick to boxing. This strong leg motherf*cker must be stepping for Jesus.”

Jamahal Hill calls UFC 300 fight vs. Alex Pereira a mismatch: ‘He gets his ass whooped every single way’

Jamahal Hill is confident he has the advantage over Alex Pereira everywhere.

[autotag]Jamahal Hill[/autotag] is confident he has the advantage over [autotag]Alex Pereira[/autotag] everywhere.

Hill (12-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) challenges light heavyweight champion Pereira (9-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) in the UFC 300 main event April 13 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The former champion likes the hype surrounding knockout artist Pereira, and relishes the opportunity to shut him down.

“I feel like I’m just better,” Hill said in an interview with Bodog Canada. I’ve said it in multiple interviews and people just don’t believe me. I am truly just better than he is, period. That’s just the way it is. I’m better than him everywhere, and I don’t want to keep saying it. I just want to get out there and show it.

“It’s not going to go well for him. That’s why I’m loving all the talk, all the hype, the ‘Pereira is this,’ the mythical, all of that sh*t. I’m loving all of that sh*t. Build him up in your heads as big as y’all want to so whenever I lay him out, y’all know how much further you really need to start trying to put together where I am and what I am.”

Not only is Hill predicting a knockout, he thinks all Pereira has is a puncher’s chance.

“I’m knocking him the f*ck out,” Hill said. “And when I say this, this is no disrespect to Alex. However you take it is however you take it. But for me, there’s no disrespect. I like Alex. I like Alex whenever he fights. I think he’s funny. I think he brings attention and good energy and good charisma and good things to the sport and to the company and to all of us as a whole that are in this lane. … I realized the mismatch it truly is. It’s truly, truly a mismatch.

“Can he catch me and knock me out? He’s been fighting for a long time. He has strikes. He has power. Yes, it’s a possibility to get caught and lose. But short of that, short of something getting through and it catches me and puts me away, he gets his ass whooped every single way. He has one way to win this fight. Anybody who thinks he’s going to outclass me is out of their f*cking mind.”
