Watch: Notre Dame’s newest commit JaDon Blair troll Michigan and Penn State

Blair got ‘em!

If you didn’t know, Notre Dame football added 2025 North Carolina safety [autotag]JaDon Blair[/autotag] to its recruiting class on Friday afternoon.

Although he committed to the Irish, it wasn’t without a bit of decision day trolling. Blair had multiple hats on the table when he made his choice, but before he made the announcement, he trolled Penn State and Michigan.

At first, he picked up a Nittany Lions hat, the put it down. Next, it was a Wolverines hat, before finally picking up the right hat, an Irish one. Watch below as Blair trolls the two teams who thought they would be getting a commitment from him.

Quite the exciting moment for the Irish, especially considering the fact that Blair trolled the two Big Ten teams.

Notre Dame target JaDon Blair’s decision will come down to the wire

We will find out tomorrow where Blair is headed

Notre Dame football will soon find out if it will add another elite prospect to its 2025 recruiting class.

North Carolina safety [autotag]JaDon Blair[/autotag] will make his announcement on Friday, but it seems like he still hasn’t made up his mind. According to Rivals Sam Spiegelman, the 6-foot, 4-inch and 190-pound prospects decision will “go down to the wire.”

The nation’s No. 160 overall player and 13th ranked safety according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings has been viewed as an Irish lean, but things could change as other teams try to jump to the top of his list. Blair took seven official visits, so you have to believe that all of those schools are still in the mix.

Notre Dame would love to add Blair to join Ivan Taylor, Anthony Sacca, and Ethan Long as its safety commits. We will find out tomorrow what his final decision will be.

On3’s EJ Holland has yet another terrible Notre Dame football take

Again with this?

Notre Dame football fans are starting to get to know who On3’s Michigan beat writer [autotag]EJ Holland[/autotag] is.

For the second time in the last few weeks, Holland has shared on social media a terrible Notre Dame take. First it was that any recruit that would commit to them are “weirdo’s,” but on Sunday he doubled down on his Irish hate.

With the impending Wolverine recruiting loss of New Jersey safety [autotag]JaDon Blair[/autotag] to the Irish, Holland went on to stay that Notre Dame “is an inferior program. Just a fact. Michigan literally taught ND how to play football. I was born in 91 and have never seen ND win anything.”

Just because a program goes through a drought without a title doesn’t make them in inferior program. Michigan had to cheat their way back to relevance, finally winning its first title since 1998.

Many said the same about the Wolverines prior to the last three seasons, so why not give the Irish the benefit of the doubt as well? It just seems so odd for Holland to continue to double-down on his hatred for Notre Dame.

Notre Dame football 2025 safety target sets commitment date

Will the Irish be the pick on July 5th?

Notre Dame football still has some room to add a few prospects to its 2025 recruiting class, and will know soon if another will join the group.

North Carolina safety [autotag]JaDon Blair[/autotag], according to this father on social media, will make his commitment on July 5th. The 6-foot, 4-inch and 190-pound member of the secondary will have seven hats on the table: Michigan, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Florida State, Penn State, Louisville and the Irish.

Many expect the nation’s No. 158 overall prospect and 13th ranked safety according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings to pick Notre Dame. He currently has 5 247Sports Crystal Ball picks, each of them in favor of the Irish.

Notre Dame currently has Ivan Taylor, Anthony Sacca, and Ethan Long committed at the position, but wants another in the class. The hope is that Blair is that fourth and final piece.

Four-star safety really interested in Penn State ahead of visit

Penn State is sitting in a good position in the recruiting of this four-star safety.

This weekend starts the most important time for Penn State as they welcome in their first wave of official visitors in the class of 2025.

There is still tons of work to be done, and the Nittany Lions would love nothing more than to have some of their top targets turn into commitments after they leave campus.

Considering June is normally a time where prospects are heading to different programs across the country, it would be surprising if multiple of their preferred players decided to commit, but they are at least hoping they get further towards the top of lists by the time prospects are ready to make their picks.

One player who Penn State is extremely high on is four-star safety [autotag]JaDon Blair[/autotag]. The North Carolina native is is ranked as the 153rd overall player in the 2025 class and 15th-best safety according to On3’s Industry Rankings.

He’s scheduled to come to Happy Valley later on the calendar in an official manner, hitting campus the weekend of June 21.

Blair has set his commitment date for July 5, so he will go through all his visits before making his decision.

He spoke with Sean Fitz of On3 about Penn State, and based on their conversation, the Nittany Lions should feel good about where they stand in his recruitment.

Blair said he has “a whole lot of interest” in the program after getting a backpack from them when he received it at a camp. Safeties coach Anthony Poindexter has developed a great relationship with the four-star as he told Fitz that Poindexter is one of his favorite coaches. They’ve discussed how he’s going to be developed and how he’s going to fit within their system (subscription required).

Out of the 13 commitments the Nittany Lions currently have, none of them are safeties and only one is a cornerback.

Landing someone of this skillset would be huge for this class.

What he’s looking for on his official visits will ultimately decide who he’s going to play for. He’s looking for the right feel when he gets back on campus in an official capacity for all the places he’s seeing.

On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine thinks it’s going to be an uphill battle for Penn State to land Blair as Notre Dame is listed as the huge favorites to land him with a 72.2 percent chance. The Nittany Lions are second at 7.7 percent.

Notre Dame trending with 2025 safety who just set his official visit

The 6-foot, 4-inch and 190-pound member of the secondary has set his commitment date for July 5th, but before that he will make his official visits. One of those will be to South Bend, at the beginning of June, but there is more good news for both parties.

On3’s Steve Wiltfong logged a prediction for Blair to eventually commit to the Irish on Tuesday morning after getting a chance to speak with him.

Blair is viewed highly among recruiting circles, as he’s ranked as the No. 160 overall prospect and 13th best safety in his class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

If you didn’t know, Notre Dame 2025 safety target [autotag]JaDon Blair[/autotag] will make an official visit to South Bend in early June.

Blair fits the mold of prospects that the Irish go after at the position: long, and athletic. He also happens to be one of the best players in the country, ranking as the No. 13 safety and 147th overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
