Twitter reacts: Georgia football lands 4-star safety JaCorey Thomas

The recruiting game is at full force in Athens right now. Georgia football just received a commitment from four-star safety JaCorey Thomas out of Orlando, Florida.

Thomas is as versatile as they come. At 6 feet, 1 inch, 188 pounds, Thomas spent time at running back, receiver, defensive back and returned punts and kickoffs for Boone High School.

Thomas is rated the No. 19 athlete in the country and the No. 38 prospect in the state of Florida, per 247Sports composite.

Boom! Georgia football has landed its first commit of the month and the 11th of the Dawgs’ 2022 recruiting class: Orlando, Florida, four-star safety JaCorey Thomas announced his decision on Friday afternoon.

Thomas, out of Orlando’s Boone High School, is rated the No. 19 athlete in the country and the No. 38 prospect in the state of Florida, per 247Sports composite.

In his junior season, Thomas (6-foot-1, 188 pounds) racked up 567 yards on offense, getting snaps at both receiver and running back, while recording 60 tackles, two forced fumbles and an interception on defense. He also returned both a kickoff and punt for a touchdown.

Georgia holds the No. 4 ranked class for 2022 and is one point shy from overtaking LSU at No. 3.
