Watch: Jacob and Joseph Zamot tag-team for a really neat highlight

Brothers make consecutive special plays in a high school football game.

Jacob and Joseph Zamot sure know how to play complementary football. One makes a big defensive play and then on the very next snap, the other throws a touchdown pass.

Jacob Zamot and Joseph Zamot are brothers who play at Millville High School (Millville, New Jersey). Jacob is a standout quarterback who is one of the best at his position for the class of 2024 in the tri-state region. Joseph, who is one year younger, is a standout linebacker.

So it shouldn’t be a surprise that when one brother starts a big play, the other brother follows up with an equally big moment.

Last Friday in a 26-12 win at Williamstown, Joseph made a big interception play. His brother then a nice touchdown pass (perfectly in-stride to the wide receiver) on the very next play.

It is a pretty special moment. One the brothers aren’t likely to forget anytime soon:

Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce need to watch out. So do Devin McCourty and Jason McCourty.

The Zamot brothers know how to both start and finish their plays.

Rutgers football recruit Jacob Zamot shines in 7-on-7 tournament, wins MVP

Jacob Zamot shows some nice touch and a good arm in 7-on-7 win.

Class of 2024 quarterback Jacob Zamot shone over the weekend at the Winslow 7-on-7 tournament in southern New Jersey.

Zamot, the starting quarterback at Millville High School (Millville, N.J.) has been a visitor on the Rutgers campus several times since the fall including the Rutgers spring game in April.

He was named the MVP of a recent 7-on-7 tournament in nearby Winslow.

This past season at Millville, Zamot threw for 1,537 yards with 13 touchdowns and two interceptions. He is considered a pro-style quarterback but he moves and runs well at 6-foot, 175 pounds.

Millville won the tournament for a second-straight year.

Over the weekend, he showed off some good footwork as well as some nice touch on the ball. He does not hold a Power Five offer yet:

Millville is traditionally one of the top programs in New Jersey. Class of 2022 running back Lequint Allen was named the state’s Gatorade Player of the Year for a season where he had 22 rushing touchdowns.

Jacob Zamot is one of the top quarterbacks in New Jersey and the region for the class of 2024. He is already receiving some strong ‘Power Five’ interest.

The Millville High School standout is coming off a strong sophomore season where he threw for 1,537 yards with 13 touchdowns and two interceptions. His recruitment has already started, with Penn State, Rutgers, Temple, Villanova, Stony Brook and Towson all showing interest.

He says that Penn State, Rutgers and Villanova are after him the hardest right now.

Zamot visited Rutgers in early October where he got to tour the facilities and the campus.

“I definitely feel that coach Schiano has the program going in the right direction,” Zamot told ‘Rutgers Wire.’

“His ability to coach a player to his best ability is great, he’s also a great motivator. He has the respect of the entire team and that’s important.”

In late October, Zamot made a visit to Penn State. It was the weekend that the Nittany Lions were upset by Illinois.

“It was awesome. I met a lot of the coaches, got to tour the campus and facilities,” Zamot said. “Was on the field for pre-game warmups. The atmosphere was electric and the fans were awesome.”

The relationship with Penn State will continue to grow, he says.

“They like my abilities and that I’m a great student with a 4.0 GPA,” Zamot said. “They said they will continue to keep their eyes on me.”

Zamot plans to make some visits during the winter and spring but nothing is set in stone. He will also play 7-on-7 with Next Level Greats.

He is listed as a 6-foot and 175 pounds according to Rivals, who has Zamot as a dual-threat quarterback prospect.
