A lot of weight has been lifted off the Jacksonville Jaguars’ shoulders now that they’ve gotten their first win of the season, but all fans would agree that they need to ride that momentum and continue where they left off Week 6. To do that, they will have to beat the Seattle Seahawks on their home turf after a long trip across the nation.

With just double the number of wins the Jags have under their belts, Seattle is in desperation mode as they know falling to 2-6 will likely prevent them from making the playoffs. However, with the Jags coming off their bye week in addition to a Week 6 win, they could be a scrappy bunch for the Seahawks and make this battle an interesting one.

All of that said, here are three bold predictions we have for the Jags who will be looking for their first win streak since 2019:

Jags enter Week 8 as 3.5-point underdogs to Seahawks

With the Jags set to head to the opposite end of the country Sunday, they’ve entered the week as 3.5-point underdogs to Seattle.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be making a trip to the opposite end of the country Sunday to play the Seattle Seahawks, and it should come as no surprise that Tipico Sportsbook has them listed as underdogs. This week, it’s by a margin of 3.5-points despite the opposition being without quarterback Russell Wilson.

With a +3.5-point (-112) underdog figure as they head on the road, a $112 bet  on the Jags would win a bettor $100 if the Jags can upset Seattle or they lose by no more than three. If a bettor rolls with the Seahawks, a $108 bet would win a bettor $100 if Seattle wins by more than three points.

When looking at the money line, the Jags have a +155 figure. That means that a bettor would earn $155 if they place $100 on the Jags. Meanwhile, Seattle is listed with a -190 figure, which means a $190 bet on them would earn a bettor $100.

The over/under for Sunday’s game is set at 43.5. The over figure is currently set at -117, which means a $117 bet on the combined totals exceeding 43 would earn a bettor $100. The under figure is set at -103, so a $103 bet would earn a bettor $100 if the combined totals of both teams is 43 or less.

The totals for the Jags’ first six games have been for 58, 36, 50, 43, 56, and 43 points. When reflecting back on all their games, the most they’ve scored this year is 23 points (against Miami). Then when looking at the Seahawks, they’ve only taken the field with Geno Smith starting at quarterback once this season (Week 6 vs. Pittsburgh) and the team totaled 20 points in the process.

All of that said, it wouldn’t be shocking to see both the Jags and Seahawks finish the game around the 20-point range (individually) or slightly higher this week, which explains the over/under figure of 43.5.
