Expert Picks: ESPN College GameDay crew picks Oregon vs. Georgia game

Georgia was the overwhelming favorite to win according to ESPN’s College GameDay crew. See their reasoning for picking Oregon to lose.

There is no better sign that college football has returned than the fact that you woke up on Saturday morning and were able to turn on ESPN’s College GameDay and get your fix.

While the crew paid a touching tribute to Spencer Webb earlier in the day, one of the most exciting segments of the show comes at the end with the crew making game picks. Between Desmond Howard, David Pollack, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, and a guest picker — which on Saturday was artist Jack Harlow — we can get a good feel for where the national media stands on the game outcome.

So where did the pickers stand on the Oregon vs. Georgia game? Take a look…

ESPN’s ‘College GameDay’ will be in Columbus for Notre Dame-Ohio State with this performer

Interesting choice

Although Week 0 started the college football season, there were no games of note. Week 1 will be different. Three Top 25 matchups are highlighted by Notre Dame visiting Columbus to take on Ohio State.

As the only Top 5 matchup of the weekend, it was an easy selection for ESPN’s “College GameDay.” The fantastic crew of Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, David Pollack and new addition Jess Sims as they get fans ready for the action each Saturday morning.

The crew also brings in a celebrity guest picker and today GameDay announced that person, rapper Jack Harlow.

What is odd about this selection as that normally the guest picker has some connection to the home team, but Harlow doesn’t. He’s not a fan of either team and grew up in Kentucky.

Many of us will not  be on the edge of our seats while Harlow makes his picks of the games; we’ll be much more interested in what happens in Ohio Stadium later that evening.

A ‘drunk’ Drake hilariously shades NBC in Kentucky Derby interview

Drake and Jack Harlow are having a good time and they don’t want it to end.

Raise your hand if you were expecting to see Jack Harlow on your TV screen during your Kentucky Derby viewing.

Now, raise your (other) hand if you had Drake making an appearance.

I’ll wait.

I’ll wait, similarly to how NBC had to patiently wait to cut to a different segment as an admittedly-drunk Drake, ignored all the wrap-it-up signals that were apparently given to him.

Can you blame the man?

He was busy having a good time with fellow rapper Jack Harlow, who was back in his hometown of Louisville for the Kentucky Derby just days after dropping his latest album—appropriately featuring a track titled “Churchill Downs”.

Of course, the two bet on Happy Jack. When in Harlow’s hometown, what other option is there?

Carry on with your Kentucky Derby viewing. Be surprised (or don’t) if there are more hilarious moments prior to the big race.

NBA officials hilariously confirmed they do, in fact, actually know Jack Harlow

Even Scott Foster knows who Jack Harlow is! Who doesn’t?

During the NBA Playoffs, celebrities coming out to shine is part of the spectacle. The Celtics’ game against the Bucks on Sunday afternoon was no exception, with Boston diehard fan Jack Harlow in attendance.

You know, the very same 24-year-old American rapper that hails from Louisville, Kentucky, Jack Harlow? Full name Jackman Thomas Harlow? Signed to Don Cannon and DJ Drama’s record label Generation Now? Years active 2011-Present?

Yeah, yeah, I know you and I definitely know who Jack Harlow is. Who wouldn’t! But it appeared that the NBA officials working the game — Scott Foster and Ed Malloy — were not familiar with the famous American rapper that everyone is aware of.

Harlow, of course, took exception to Foster and Malloy’s nonchalance at his guest appearance. He’s famous American rapper Jack Harlow. Come on!

Foster, Malloy, and the greater NBA referee community put this issue to bed from their representative Twitter account a few days later.

They confirmed they are, indeed, aware of famous American rapper Jack Harlow’s existence:

Hysterical. Who could forget such classic hits!

One thing’s for sure: Foster and Malloy might like Harlow to attend another game to apologize, and he no longer has a gripe with them.

22-year-old rapper Jack Harlow on Wednesday teased his upcoming new single on Twitter and the song title may catch the attention of Miami Heat fans.

Harlow announced that “Tyler Herro” will be released on Thursday at 3 p.m. EST on all streaming music platforms. Harlow included two photos of himself with Herro with the two jersey-swapping in one and sitting on a private jet in the other picture.

Of course, Herro emerged as a key player for the Heat during the postseason. He averaged 16 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 21 games and set a number of playoff records during his run, and earned widespread praise from several current and former players.

Harlow rose to fame this year after his “What’s Poppin” single peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He has often been seen at basketball games in the past and even appeared in the infamous photo with Lou Williams at Magic City in Atlanta, Georgia.
