The New England Patriots had a defensive game plan for New York Jets quarterback Zack Wilson. They pressured the second-year quarterback constantly, and it led to interceptions and takeaways. Safety Jabril Peppers revealed pressuring Wilson was all part of Sunday’s game plan.
Wilson went 20-of-41 on the afternoon and threw for 355 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. The quarterback only had two interceptions on the season coming into Sunday’s game.
Peppers clearly played a big role by coming away with five solo tackles and eight total tackles on the afternoon. When speaking with media members after the game, via the Boston Herald’s Andrew Callahan, he claimed the Patriots defense rattled Wilson.
#Patriots S Jabrill Peppers: "I think I got to (Wilson) a little bit."
How?
"We was rattling him. He was kind of throwing up balls for grabs. Once he got off his first look, he was scrambling back there. We've just got to have better lane integrity and keep building off this." https://t.co/E6w4ESysZP

It wouldn’t be the first time, either. Wilson has struggled against New England’s defense every time he’s faced them.
Peppers was signed by the Patriots in April with the organization looking for depth at the safety position, and Sunday was a good example of the type of tenacity and versatility he can provide. It will be intriguing to see how he progresses moving forward.
