4-Star defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell decommits from Clemson

Clemson loses a big commitment in their 2025 recruiting class.

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson football program are coming off an awesome rivalry win over NC State, but with the good win came so bad news following the game.

Four-Durham (N.C.) Southern four-star defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell announced his decommitment from Clemson on X on Saturday, after committing early in the year on January 29th. A shock for fans, Campbell said this on social media:

After much prayer and counsel, I am announcing my decommitment from Clemson University. At this time, I am continuing to build relationships with schools that share my values and goals. I know this may come as a shock, but please respect me, my family, and my coaches as we navigate this transition. Thank you for your support and understanding!

On3 has the four-star standout ranked as the No. 31 overall player in the country and the No. 3 defensive lineman. For On3’s industry ranking, Campbell landed at No. 43 overall and No. 4 among defensive linemen.

A huge loss for the Tigers in their 2025 recruiting class.

Former Diamond Hogs ace Isaiah Campbell makes first MLB Opening-Day roster

Campbell was a stud out of the bullpen for the Mariners last year, but this is his first season to begin the year in the Bigs.

Isaiah Campbell is an Opening-Day Major Leaguer.

The former Arkansas right-hander was named to the Boston Red Sox opening day roster Thursday as teams across the league prepared for the first games of the season.

Campbell will be pitching in his second season in the Big Leagues after cracking the Seattle Mariners’ club last year. He had a 2.83 earned-run average in 28 games for the Ms out of the bullpen. Campbell was trided to Boston in November for infielder Luis Urias.

A second-round pick of the Mariners in 2019, Campbell didn’t get to pitch professionally until 2021 at age 23. He quickly shot through Seattle’s system and jumped from Double-A Arkansas in the middle of last year to the big club, where he stuck for the season.

Campbell pitched for the Diamond Hogs for four seasons, although his second season with the Razorbacks was limited to just one game because of injury. He came into his own his final season in Fayetteville in 2019, striking out 122 batters and walking just 22 in 118 1/3 innings.

Boston opens its 2024 season Thursday night incidentally against those same Mariners.

Where Clemson Ranks in 2025 Recruiting Rankings After Multiple Huge Commitments

Clemson is flying up 2025 team recruiting rankings after multiple huge commitments.

Excitement brews for Clemson football as their recruiting efforts gain momentum.

Under the guidance of head coach Dabo Swinney, the Tigers find themselves in a unique position. With Swinney at the helm, Clemson’s approach diverges from conventional programs as they steer clear of the transfer portal. Instead, they invest heavily in recruiting, a strategy that demands success.

Despite being in the early stages of the 2025 recruiting cycle, Clemson emerges as a powerhouse. Within a mere 24 hours, the Tigers secured commitments from three four-star recruits, addressing critical positions. On the offensive line, they landed Brayden Jacobs and Jaylan Beckley while landing Isaiah Campbell on the defensive line.

With this excellent run of recruiting, the Tigers have flown up team recruiting rankings for the 2025 class. Check out Clemson’s 2025 class ranking for three major recruiting platforms below.

Clemson is excelling recruiting in the 2025 class

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson coaching staff have been on fire recruiting in the 2025 class.

Things are heating up for the Clemson football program on the recruiting trail, and it is a beautiful thing to see for the Clemson faithful.

The Tigers, with head coach Dabo Swinney, are in an interesting spot. Having one of college football’s five best coaches is excellent, but with Swinney comes a different program than most. Clemson, unlike most programs, has little to no activity in the transfer portal. If you’re going to do that, you NEED to hit on the recruiting trail, and Swinney, along with his staff, has done exactly that.

It is early in the 2025 recruiting cycle, but right now, Clemson is arguably the hottest team recruiting in the 2025 class. In the last 24 hours, the Tigers have landed THREE four-star recruits. In positions of need, mind you… two on the offensive line and one on the defensive line.

According to 247Sports composite rankings, the Tigers currently hold the No. 2 ranked recruiting class for 2025 after these signings… While we can expect things to change over time, it’s tough to ask for a better start from this coaching staff. Momentum is building here, and it is clear.

I’m not saying that this class will end where they are right now, but Clemson is trending in the right direction. Swinney and his staff are doing phenomenal work right now, and fans should be thrilled with what they see.

Campbell earns first MLB victory over Blue Jays

Seattle Mariners pitcher Isaiah Campbell saw his scoreless streak extended to four games on Saturday and got the win against the Toronto Blue Jays.

It was only just a matter of time before Isaiah Campbell got in the win column.

The Seattle Mariners right-hander, who actually endured a brief demotion back to AA earlier in the week, grabbed the victory on Saturday night over Toronto.

Campbell only pitched a third of an inning, but became the pitcher of record when the Mariners broke the game open in the bottom of the seventh by scoring five runs.

He allowed a hit, walked and hit a batter but then got George Springer to ground into a fielder’s choice to end the frame.

In four appearances thus far with the Mariners, he has yet to allow a run, which is impressive nonetheless.
