Barry Sanders joins BetMGM as celebrity brand ambassador

BetMGM Sportsbook signs former Detroit Lions RB Barry Sanders as brand ambassador.

With Michigan legal, online sports betting recently launching, BetMGM Sportsbook has signed Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders, formerly of the Detroit Lions, to a multi-year deal as a celebrity BetMGM brand ambassador.

Sanders will participate in a variety of events with BetMGM customers and star in the company’s upcoming marketing campaigns. He’ll engage with BetMGM players as well as MGM Resorts’ M life Rewards loyalty members in private and public events, which will be done both virtual and in-person.

“I’m excited to be a part of the BetMGM team and hop on the ride of the fastest-growing sports betting app in the business,” said Sanders. “Typically, I am the one breaking records in Michigan, but it is amazing to see what BetMGM already has accomplished in my home state.”

BetMGM is also the first official sports betting partner of the Detroit Lions, where Sanders played for 10 seasons. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2004.
