Colts RB Jonathan Taylor UNDER 23.5 rushing attempts (-115)

Last week, the Colts rode their rookie running back to a win as Taylor carried the ball 26 times for 101 yards and one touchdown. While they are likely to do that once again, it seems likely they will want to lessen his workload some this week against a good Jets’ defensive line.

Expect Taylor to get a lot of work, but for him to come UNDER 23.5 rushing attempts in this contest.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor UNDER 84.5 rushing yards

If you are betting on Taylor to go under 23.5 carries, you should also consider him gaining fewer than 85 yards on the ground. As mentioned up front, the Jets have a strong interior offensive line; however, they can be exposed on the second level. For Taylor to hit this mark, he’s going to need to bust off a few long runs.

Unfortunately, that’s just not something he has been able to do yet in his young career. Expect him to come close to 80 yards in this game and to potentially total over 100 from scrimmage, but take the UNDER 84.5 on rushing yards.

Colts RB Nyhiem Hines to score a TD (+130)

After a huge Week 1 performance, Hines saw just one touch in Week 2. The team decided to utilize Taylor more on the ground and because they held an early lead, Hines just wasn’t used at all.

Look for that to change this week as the Jets have struggled with speedy running backs out of the backfield. When the team gets into the red zone, Hines could quickly become QB Philip Rivers‘ favorite target. At +130, he’s a good bet to score a touchdown this week.

Colts QB Philip Rivers OVER 29.5 passing attempts (-121)

Ideally, the Colts would love to be able to run the ball all over the Jets. While they will try to do so, they are still going to need to throw the ball some to set up the run. Rivers threw the ball just 25 times in their Week 2 victory over the Vikings, but don’t expect that to become the norm.

Look for Rivers to be in the mid-30s in passing attempts today as he utilizes his running backs and tight ends to move the sticks.

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton OVER 57.5 receiving yards (-112)

After being called out by his grandmother for poor play over the last two weeks, look for Hilton to bounce back in Week 3 against a weak Jets secondary. While Hilton has yet to cross over 55 receiving yards in any game this season, he has received 14 targets from Rivers.

Expect him to see a big workload in Week 3 with a few targets coming down the field. Hilton should be a lock to go OVER 57.5 yards in this game and could get to 100.

NFL Prop Bets Payday – Top Indianapolis Colts prop bets to bank on in Week 2

Featuring the top Indianapolis Colts prop bets to bank on during Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Indianapolis Colts host the Minnesota Vikings as they look to get their season back on track after a stunning Week 1 loss to the Jaguars. To prepare you for that game, here are five Week 2 Colts prop bets you must make, courtesy of BetMGM.

Indianapolis Colts Prop Bets – Week 2

Colts QB Philip Rivers over 0.5 interceptions (-118)

One of the safest bets of the week is for Philip Rivers to throw at least one interception to the Vikings. At this stage of his career, he’s just too reckless and his arm strength has diminished. In Week 1, Rivers threw two interceptions to a young Jaguars defense. Look for the Vikings to grab one from Rivers in Week 2.

Colts WR Parris Campbell over 49.5 receiving yards (-112)

The Vikings have one of the worst secondaries in the NFL and will likely devote a ton of resources to slow down WR T.Y. Hilton. That means second-year WR Parris Campbell could have a massive game in the short game. In Week 1, Campbell caught six passes for 71 yards as he appears to be a perfect fit with Rivers. Look for another big game from the former Ohio State product and for him to exceed 50 receiving yards.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor over 60.5 rushing yards (-110)

Now that RB Marlon Mack is out for the season due to an injury, second-round rookie RB Jonathan Taylor will likely get the start and plenty of playing time for the Colts. In his first game action, Taylor carried the ball nine times for 22 yards. But look for his workload to double this week as well as his efficiency. As long as Indianapolis can stay in this game, he should have no problem getting to 60.5 rushing yards.

Colts TE Mo Alie-Cox first Indianapolis TD scorer (+1600)

With starting TE Jack Doyle out of this game, Mo Alie-Cox will get the start for the Colts. Cox is a massive target at 6’5, 267 pounds and has shown some chops as a receiver. In Week 1, he caught two passes for 20 yards in a limited role, but he very well could see a ton of action in the red zone this week. At +1600, Alie-Cox is a strong long-shot bet to be the first Colts’ player to get into the end zone this week.

Also see:

Colts WR Parris Campbell two or more touchdowns scored (+2200)

For all the reasons mentioned above, Campbell could be in for a big game this week. The Vikings will be without one of their starting cornerbacks in Cameron Dantzler and will be undermanned in the secondary. While Campbell has scored just one career touchdown, Week 2 feels like a potential breakout game for him. At +2200, this is a fun bet on Campbell as he could see double-digit targets.

NFL Prop Bets Payday – Top Indianapolis Colts prop bets to bank on

Analyzing the best Indianapolis Colts prop bets to consider during Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Indianapolis Colts open their 2020 schedule against the division-rival Jacksonville Jaguars. To prepare you for that game, here are five Colts player prop bets you must make, courtesy of BetMGM.

Week 1 Indianapolis Colts Prop Bets to Bank on

Colts RB Marlon Mack – OVER 11.5 Rushing Attempts (-110)

The Colts are nearly double-digit favorites in this contest and the expectation is that they should be able to run the ball at will against the Jaguars. While there are some concerns that rookie RB Jonathan Taylor could take away touches from RB Marlon Mack, Mack is still the clear-cut starter in Indianapolis.

Mack had just two games under 13 rushing attempts last season and saw a total of 29 carries in two games against the Jaguars last year. Consider Mack a lock to see 14 or more attempts this week, as the OVER should hit easily.

Special Indiana Week 1 Promotion! Bet $1 on the Colts moneyline, WIN $100 (in free bets) if the Colts score a touchdown vs. Jacksonville. Regardless of the game outcome, you win! Place your legal, online bets in Indiana at BetMGM. Terms and conditions apply. Bet now!

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor – UNDER 13.5 Rushing Attempts (100)

If you are convinced the Colts will ride Mack and not the rookie running back, then betting Jonathan Taylor to go under 13.5 carries seems like a wise bet, as well. Taylor will certainly get a lot of work, but it would be a surprise if he out-snapped and out-touched the veteran.

Keep in mind that the Colts also have veteran Nyhiem Hines, a third-down specialist, on the roster and he should see a few carries, as well. Confidently bet on Taylor to go UNDER 13.5 carries on Sunday.

Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew – OVER 242.5 Passing Yards  (-110)

The Colts have made a lot of improvements to their defense this offseason, but the Jaguars are likely to be down and down early in this contest. That could lead to a ton of passing attempts by Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew, who proved to be surprisingly competent for a Day 3 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Minshew threw for 250 or more yards in six contests last season and the Jaguars are expected to throw even more this season. With a pretty good cast of weapons around him, getting to 250 shouldn’t be all that hard in this contest. Take Minshew to go over 242.5 passing yards in Week 1.

Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew – OVER 21.5 Completions (-121)

If you believe Minshew will clear the 242.5 yardage threshold, consider betting on him to complete 22 or more passes, as well. As a rookie, Minshew completed 22 or more passes in seven of his 14 starts last season. With the Jaguars likely to be down in this contest, he will likely throw a ton of passes underneath in the second half. Take the OVER here and expect Minshew to complete 24-25 passes in this contest.

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton – UNDER 61.5 Receiving Yards (112)

With WR T.Y. Hilton playing with a new quarterback in Philip Rivers, expect some sloppy play from the two. Hilton will certainly get his fair share of targets, but expect the Colts to spread the ball around and for Hilton to go UNDER 61.5 receiving yards in this contest.

Colts at Jaguars: Odds, betting lines, picks and prediction

Prediction

Colts 27, Jaguars 16

Moneyline (?)

The Colts are such large favorites that you are going to have to bet more than four times what you want to win. The Jaguars have shed talent on both sides of the ball and appear to be trying to rebuild, while the Colts should be competing with the addition of Rivers. If you feel like you have to bet the money line, take the Colts, but the best bet here is to AVOID because there is just no value.

Against the Spread (?)

Neither team was a particularly good bet last year. The Colts went 7-9 overall and were 7-7-2 ATS, while the 6-10 Jags were 7-9 ATS. Despite the Colts’ addition of Rivers and the Jaguars’ loss of most of their best defensive players, this game won’t be a huge blowout — but it should be by a large enough margin for the Colts to cover. Take the COLTS -8.5 (-110).

Stay up to speed:

Over/Under (?)

Both teams were not heavy on one side or the other in 2019. It will come down to how many points the Jaguars can score without Leonard Fournette (also let go) against a talented Colts defense. If Jacksonville can’t get to 20 points (I don’t think they can), the under should hit. Take the UNDER 44.5 POINTS (-110).
