The Indiana Hoosiers (2-2) visit the Penn State Nittany Lions (4-0) Saturday. The game is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET at Beaver Stadium. Below, we look at Indiana vs. Penn State odds and lines, and make our expert college football picks, predictions and bets.
Penn State is playing a fourth straight home game. After taking down Wisconsin and Auburn, the Nittany Lions enter Week 5 at No. 6 in the AFCA Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports. QB Sean Clifford is 16th with 1,158 passing yards.
Indiana doesn’t have a bad loss on its resume. While the Hoosiers are 2-2, they were up for the bulk of the first half against Cincinnati, a current top-10 team. The Hoosiers are led by QB Michael Penix Jr. and his 821 passing yards.

Indiana at Penn State odds, lines, picks and predictions
Prediction
Penn State 31, Indiana 17
Money line
PASS on the money line.
Penn State has looked flawless at home, yet betting five times your money for a unit of return is almost never worth it. It’s certainly not in this scenario. Look toward the spread for much better odds.
Against the spread
“LEAN” to PENN STATE -12.5 (-108) as its defense has been dominating this season. It’s yet to give up more than 20 points in a game.
The veteran Clifford should be able to get the job done. Indiana was blown out by both top-25 opponents, losing both by 14 or more points.
Penix has largely disappointed and Indiana is likely to struggle to get much going on the road.
Over/Under
BET on the UNDER 53.5 (-110) as the best bet in this game. As noted, Penn State has played terrific defense and is giving up just 204.5 passing yards per game. With Penix being the main threat, the Nittany Lions should be able to tame the junior quarterback.
Either Indiana has to score more than 20 points, which Penn State has yet to allow, or Penn State will need to put up more than 30, which it hasn’t done against any Power 5 opponent.
