FOCO releases new Dante Hall ‘Human Joy Stick’ bobblehead

A clever and cool representation of Kansas City Chiefs great Dante Hall, paying homage to his nickname.

Kansas City Chiefs great Dante Hall is the next player to get the bobblehead treatment from FOCO, one of the leading manufacturers of officially licensed NFL merchandise.

FOCO previously released an entire series of limited edition Chiefs bobbleheads surrounding their Super Bowl LIV victory. They also recently created a set of bobbleheads centered around Mecole Hardman’s stylish pregame outfits. Now, they’re taking a trip down memory lane and creating a clever representation of Hall that pays homage to his nicknames.

Hall was drafted by the Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He’d go on to become one of the most exciting return specialists in franchise history and a big part of team success during that era. During his seven seasons in Kansas City, Hall amassed 8,644 kick return yards, 1,882 punt return yards, and 11 combined return touchdowns. His prowess in the return game earned him the nickname “The Human Joy Stick.”

FOCO’s bobblehead draws inspiration from two of Hall’s nicknames when he was in the NFL. The bobblehead features Hall in a pose, throwing up the X because it was part of his “X-Factor” nickname. Hall is also standing on an arcade console-themed base, which is modeled after Hall’s signature “Human Joy Stick” nickname. The base features Chiefs-colored accents. It also has a screen with 8-bit lettering and a team logo display.

“Dante Hall was an electrifying return man and one of the most exciting players to watch in the early 2000s,” FOCO Senior Licensing Manager Matthew Katz said in a press release. “In addition to his great play on the field, he also had one of the best nicknames in the game – ‘The Human Joy Stick.’ That inspired us to create this unique bobblehead with a thematic base, and we think Chiefs fans will be eager to add this piece to their collections.”

This bobblehead is currently available for pre-order at FOCO.com. The projected delivery date for this item is currently in September, so you should receive it around the start of the 2020 NFL season.
