Nets at Jazz game preview: How to watch, TV channel, start time

Here’s the preview of Nets-Jazz on Friday.

The Brooklyn Nets (27-17, fourth in the Eastern Conference) visit Vivint Arena on Friday to take on the Utah Jazz (24-24, sixth in the Western Conference) for the first of two matchups between the teams this regular-season. The next and final time that these teams will play each other this season will be April 2 in Brooklyn.

The Nets are now 0-4 since Kevin Durant injured his right MCL. Over that span, Brooklyn has struggled to generate offense and they have had poor starts to begin most of their games. In their most recent game, a 117-112 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Thursday, Brooklyn was down by as many 24 points in the third quarter only to come back in the fourth quarter thanks to Kyrie Irving finally waking up. Nets head coach Jacque Vaughn has urged his players to start games better so that they don’t have to rely on heroics at the end of games to get win.

The Jazz has won four of its last five games. These wins include impressive victories over the Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Los Angeles Clippers. Brooklyn will have to focus on limiting Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen as he has scored at least 30 points in 11 games this season, most recently against the Clippers.

Nets at Suns game preview: How to watch, TV channel, start time

Here’s the preview of Nets-Suns on Thursday.

The Brooklyn Nets (27-16, fourth in the Eastern Conference) slide into the Footprint Center on Thursday to face the Phoenix Suns (21-24, 12th in the Western Conference). This will be the first time that these two teams have faced off this season to tip off their 2-game regular-season series.

The Nets haven’t won a game since Kevin Durant sprained his right MCL and at times, the team has looked bad. Despite being in all three games until the fourth quarter, for some reason, Brooklyn has been unable to execute in the final period. It seems that most of that stems from Durant’s absence.

The Suns have had their share of bad injury luck as well as Devin Booker, arguably their best player, has missed the last 11 games because of a groin injury. Booked has missed 16 games this season and Phoenix is only 3-13 in those contests. Chris Paul is listed as questionable as of right now so if he plays, that could be the boost that the Suns need for this game.

Nets at Spurs game preview: How to watch, TV channel, start time

Here’s the preview of Nets-Spurs on Tuesday.

The Brooklyn Nets visit the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday for the second and final matchup between the two teams this regular-season. The Nets lead the series 1-0.

In the first game, a 139-103 Nets win, Brooklyn guard Kyrie Irving (27 points) started the game on fire. Irving made his first seven shots and he also had a spectacular putback dunk that got everybody on their feet. This game became a blowout from the beginning as Brooklyn won the first quarter 37-25 and never looked back.

Things have not looked nearly as well for the Nets recently. Ever since superstar Kevin Durant was injured against the Miami Heat, Brooklyn has found it difficult to generate offense in the fourth quarter. In winnable games against the Boston Celtics and Oklahoma City Thunder, the Nets saw that life without Kevin Durant is harder than expected especially since Irving has struggled in the past two games as well.

Nets vs. Thunder game preview: How to watch, TV channel, start time

Here’s the preview of Nets-Thunder on Sunday.

The Brooklyn Nets (27-14, second in the Eastern Conference) host the Oklahoma City Thunder (20-23, 11th in the Western Conference) at Barclays Center on Sunday for the first of two matchups this season.

Coming into this game, the Nets are trying to figure out what team they are going to be while superstar Kevin Durant is out with his right MCL sprain. In their most recent game, a 109-98 home loss to the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn was competitive for three quarters. However, in the fourth quarter, it was clear that the Nets will have to find different ways to generate offense.

Oklahoma City has been playing better basketball as of late. The Thunder have won nine of its past 14 games and has recently had impressive wins over the Boston Celtics (by 33 points), the Philadelphia 76ers, and the Chicago Bulls. The last time these teams played each other, on Jan. 13, 2022, the Thunder won 130-109 behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 33 points.

Nets vs. Celtics game preview: How to watch, TV channel, start time

Here’s your preview of Nets-Celtics on Thursday.

The Brooklyn Nets (27-13, second in the Eastern Conference) welcome the Boston Celtics (30-12, first) to Barclays Center on Thursday for the second of four matchups this season. The Celtics currently lead the regular-season series 1-0.

In the first game, on Dec. 4, Boston beat Brooklyn 103-92. The Nets came into the game with a four-game winning streak, but Celtics wings Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum combined for 63 points to help their team win the game. Kevin Durant (who’s now out with a right MCL sprain) and Kyrie Irving had good games, but had too many turnovers and missed shots.

Brooklyn is in a tough spot coming into this game and for the next month as well. When Durant missed 21 games last season with a similar injury, the team suffered an 11-game losing streak and won only five out of 21 games. However, the Nets should be better positioned to handle Durant’s absence since Irving is available to play all of the games and Simmons is healthy and available to play as well.

Boston comes into this game winning 11 of their past 18 games, most recently beating the New Orleans Pelicans 125-114. Tatum and Brown have scored 30 points in the same game 19 times this season so Brooklyn has their work cut out for them. The Celtics could be without Marcus Smart and Robert Williams III.

The Brooklyn Nets visit FTX Arena on Sunday to face the Miami Heat for the first of three matchups this season. The Nets have won 13 of their last 14 games and that includes their most recent 108-102 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.

Before losing to the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday 121-112, the Nets were on a 12-game winning streak. However, Brooklyn got back on track by beating the Pelicans in a tough contest from beginning to end.

The Heat have won six of their last 10 games and completed a five-game road trip by beating the Phoenix Suns 104-96 on Friday. Miami had a slow start to this season with a 7-11 record in November, but have since corrected course and are now 21-19, good for eighth in the Eastern Conference.

Here’s the preview of Nets-Pelicans on Friday.

This game also represented Ben Simmons’ return to the court after missing last season for a variety of reasons. Kevin Durant scored 32 points, but the next highest-scoring Net was Patty Mills with 16 points off the bench.

Coming into this game, Brooklyn has won 12 of its last 13 games after losing to the Chicago Bulls 121-112 on Wednesday to end the streak. New Orleans has won six of its last 10 games. Both teams are within the top-5 of the NBA in average point differential.

This was the first time for the Nets after firing Steve Nash. Nets forward Kevin Durant had 32 points and nine rebounds while Kyrie Irving struggled his way to just four points on 2-of-12 shooting from the field.

Brooklyn comes into this game on a 12-game winning streak while Chicago has lost its last two games to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Bulls are 5-4 against the top four teams in the Eastern Conference and those two losses include the Cleveland Cavaliers and one of those losses was because of Donovan Mitchell scoring 71 points.
