The debut that North America has waited for has finally arrived.
Argentine Lionel Messi will finally suit up for Inter Miami for the very first time on Friday — and of course Sergio Busquets, Messi’s longtime Barcelona teammate, will do the same alongside him.
First up: Cruz Azul.

Miami takes on the Mexico City-based team in the Leagues Cup. The competition features every team from both MLS and Liga MX in a cup-style tournament.
Messi and Busquets officially signed with Inter Miami over the weekend.
Both Messi and Busquets haven’t played in a professional match in over a month. It’s unclear if either will start at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Fla, but after taking part in their first training session on Tuesday, it’s expected they will at least see playing time.
