Bowl games on TV today: Mississippi State vs. Illinois, live stream, TV channel, time, how to watch

The No. 23 Mississippi State Bulldogs take on the Illinois Fighting Illini at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

The ReliaQuest Bowl is set to kick off on Monday at noon ET as the No. 23 Mississippi State Bulldogs take on the Illinois Fighting Illini at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

The Bulldogs will be entering the game with heavy hearts as they recently lost their head coach, Mike Leach, in November. Despite the loss, the Bulldogs managed to pull off a win in Leach’s final game, defeating Ole Miss 24-22 in the Egg Bowl. Defensive coordinator Zach Arnett has been named as the interim head coach for the game and will also be taking over as the permanent head coach for Mississippi State.

Illinois will be facing some challenges of their own in this game as three of their key players, twins Chase and Sydney Brown and CB Devon Witherspoon, have opted out. These opt-outs will be particularly damaging for the Fighting Illini as they rely heavily on their running game and their secondary.

This should be a great game between these two teams, here is everything you need to know to watch or stream the game today.

Nebraska is coming off a disappointing season last year under Scott Frost by only winning three games, they will look to improve this year when they take the field for their first game on Saturday. As for Illinois, they are in the same boat, only winning two games last year but they did land a new coach in Bret Bielema and he should have a different plan and outlook on this year as head coach of the Illini.

This should be a great start to college football on Saturday, here is everything you need to know to stream the game.
