Auburn hosting four-star quarterback Helaman Casuga this week

Casuga is an intriguing dual-threat prospect that could offer an explosive element for Hugh Freeze’s offense.

2026 four-star quarterback [autotag]Helaman Casuga[/autotag] is set to stop by Auburn on an unofficial visit this week.

The Draper, Utah native may have a full year of high school left, but that hasn’t stopped many top programs from hosting the talented signal caller this summer. The top prospect is currently being hosted by a fellow Tiger program up north, Clemson, before he will travel down I-85 later this week to visit Auburn before departing for rival Alabama a day later.

The No. 14 ranked quarterback in the class hasn’t received an official offer from Auburn yet, but it would not be surprising if the Tigers extended one after the visit. Fellow SEC schools Texas A&M and Tennessee along with 14 other power conference programs have offered the 18-year-old.

Standing at 6-1, 200 pounds, Casuga is an intriguing dual-threat prospect that could offer an explosive element for [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] he has not had at the quarterback position since he took over. Auburn’s continued interest in the Utah native could also depend on the development of freshman 4-star Walker White as the 2024-2025 season progresses.

Auburn’s 2026 recruiting class is still fairly barren with only two players committed. That could change as the summer rolls on.

Trojans Wire interviews Helaman Casuga, part 5

The identity of a USC Trojan means something to Helaman Casuga. @DonJamesSports continues his series.

Our interview series continues with 2026 quarterback prospect Helaman Casuga. Being offered at USC by Lincoln Riley in 2023 hits differently compared to being offered by Clay Helton. USC has regained a measure of status. Pride in potentially being a USC Trojan is something we asked Casuga about, as you can see below:

Trojans Wire: What does potentially being a USC Trojan mean to you?

Casuga: It means a lot that Lincoln Riley, who I consider a quarterback guru along with Kliff Kingsbury, would be willing to offer me at USC.

The staff see a lot of potential in me to play at a high level and it gives me so much confidence receiving that offer. When it comes to college football it doesn’t get much better.

Trojans Wire: What are your thoughts on the realignment for USC and UCLA heading to the Big Ten next season?

Casuga: I think it’s good that the West Coast is wanting to better themselves by playing in the Big Ten and getting a taste of that East Coast/Midwest football.

Casuga: Cafe Rio (Mexican Grill) and Dreams and Nightmares by Meek Mill

Trojans Wire interviews USC target and four-star QB Helaman Casuga

.@DonJamesSports sat down with Casuga, one of the biggest names in the 2026 QB class. This is part of an extended series.

Provo (Utah) Timpview High School product Helaman Casuga had an impressive first season starting under center. He threw for 2,322 yards and 26 touchdown passes to only 7 interceptions with 70 percent completions.

The 6-foot, 185-pound prospect has impressed national analysts with a diverse skill set and a clear capability to throw the deep ball with accuracy and touch.

We sat down with the four-star quarterback in a Q&A to talk about everything from his celebrity crush to Xs and Os on the field.

Trojans Wire: How does it feel to be one of the hottest QB names for the 2026 class?

Casuga: It is an extreme blessing to be one of the hottest QB names in the class of 2026. And I am only here because of the man above, which I wanna give thanks to my Heavenly Father for giving me my talents.

TW: What are your goals for the Timpview football program this season?

Casuga: A goal for this season is to win state. We unfortunately came up short last year so this as a team we are on our revenge tour. And in order to do that we have to discipline ourselves and make sure we do our jobs on and off the field.

For more of this conversation, stay tuned. Part two will continue our special series on this high-profile recruit.
