Before the first episode airs, the NFL shared a clip of head coach Mike McDaniel’s first team meeting with the production team in the building.

It’s going to be great to get more insight into this team that’s filled with personalities in every position room and up and down the coaching staff.

WATCH: NFL Films releases Dolphins Hard Knocks trailer, premiere date

Here’s the trailer and premiere date of the Dolphins Hard Knocks.

The Miami Dolphins will have some extra attention on them during the second half of the season.

Not only will they have their fans and fans of the league watching to see if they can earn victories against winning teams, but they’ll also be the subject of this year’s in-season Hard Knocks.

On Monday, NFL Films released a trailer for the 2023 version of the show, along with a premiere date on November 21.

In roughly one week’s time, we’ll get even more in-depth looks into Mike McDaniel’s team and see how they operate each day, whether they’re playing or not.

Tua Tagovailoa not pumped up that Dolphins were selected for ‘Hard Knocks’

QB1 doesn’t seem thrilled with the extra attention and cameras that comes with “Hard Knocks.”

The Miami Dolphins are about to get even more eyes on them than they already have, as they’ve been announced as the featured team for this year’s in-season edition of HBO’s “Hard Knocks.”

While head coach Mike McDaniel seemed to be accepting and almost excited for the challenge that the show brings, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa appears to be less than thrilled that Miami will be the focus of this year’s program.

“I have no control over that,” Tagovailoa said. “That was probably not necessarily the best body language I’ve had in a team meeting as it was being introduced to us that we were going to be on ‘Hard Knocks.’

“For me I’m not going to let any of that affect how I prepare, how I talk in our meetings, with how we want to get things done and what we want to do. I’m going to be myself and I think the guys are going to do their best to be themselves as well, although it is different when there is a camera there while you’re trying to do something that’s very private. I’m sure that our PR team will do their best to help keep a lot of us out of trouble.”

Tagovailoa has definitely shown more of his personality since McDaniel has taken over as head coach, but he’s still not someone who goes searching for the spotlight.

“I’m just not a big attention guy,” Tagovailoa said. “I understand it comes with the territory and I am able to use my platform for bigger things. But as far as me doing something silly purposefully outside of football, it’s just different for me. I like to keep things private in how I do things, but this isn’t just about me. This isn’t something that’s for me; this is something for the entire team and the entire team has to figure out how they go about that as well. So I know having conversations with some guys in the locker room that for them, it’s going to be tough as well. So we’re all going to work through this together.”

It will be Tagovailoa’s responsibility to make sure that his team stays focused throughout the stretch run this season, and with the extra cameras around the building comes more pressure. He’ll have to prove that he can shoulder that weight and help Miami reach heights that they haven’t seen in some time.

Mike McDaniel reacts to Dolphins’ selection for in-season ‘Hard Knocks’

Miami’s HC is excited about the opportunity for his team on ‘Hard Knocks In Season.’

The Miami Dolphins have been getting plenty of attention this season, as they’ve started the year out 5-2 through their first seven games with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and wide receiver Tyreek Hill both playing at MVP levels.

However, there’s always room for more eyeballs, and the Dolphins are getting exactly that, as they were announced as the featured team for this year’s in-season edition of “Hard Knocks.”

After the news broke, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel met with the media for his scheduled availability, and of course, he was asked about the team’s appearance on the show.

“I wouldn’t call it a team decision,” McDaniel said. “But at the same time, you guys know me well enough that I steer clear of worrying about things that we can’t control. It’s something that I conveyed to the team for the first time today, and I see some positives with this particular team, just knowing that there’s a lot of things in terms of when we do have success on the field, that people kind of are curious as to how that happens.

“I think they’ll see exactly where that comes from. I don’t think it’s a bad thing for people to see our day-in, day-out hard work. I know there’s a lot of guys on this team that will garner interest, really. I think that a platform for them to showcase who they are and really the fan base to get to know the players and coaches better, I can understand the value to the National Football League, to HBO, to NFL Films, and I can understand the value for the Miami Dolphins.”

“Hard Knocks” provides fans an opportunity to see how teams go about their business in the heat of the moment. We get to see how they deal with injuries, poor performances, incredible victories and the weekly grind of an NFL season.

McDaniel actually believes that Miami is prepared for the bright lights.

“It’s something that I think that this particular team is equipped to handle, just because the focus of really how they go about their day-in-day-out jobs,” McDaniel said. “I’m also very proud of this organization, having been in multiple. I know that this is, from the top down, a very healthy, all moving in one direction organization that I think it’s not bad for the organization to be seen as that, because it’s a cool place to work.

“We will take it for exactly what it is and make sure that we use it only to our advantage. It’s not a bad thing to – in the National Football League, the bottom line is if you’re getting done what your whole mission statement is, it’s going to be done under a spotlight. So getting used to having a weekly spotlight for this young team isn’t necessarily a bad thing either.”

McDaniel did say that the cameras haven’t started rolling just yet, but they’ll be going after the team’s trip to play the Kansas City Chiefs in Germany in Week 9.

Dolphins to be featured on in-season version of ‘Hard Knocks’

The Dolphins have been selected as the team to appear on HBO’s in-season version of “Hard Knocks”

The Miami Dolphins have been one of the most interesting teams in the NFL this season thanks to their high-flying offense and charismatic head coach, and the world will get to see more of both pretty soon.

It was announced on Monday that the Dolphins have been selected as the team that will be featured on the in-season version of HBO’s “Hard Knocks” this year. The film crew will document the Dolphins’ season, just as it did last year with the Arizona Cardinals.

Mike McDaniel, Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill will get plenty of airtime on HBO’s series this fall. A premiere date hasn’t been set yet.

The Dolphins are the third team to be featured on the in-season edition of “Hard Knocks,” following the Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts.

Aaron Rodgers reveals he saw a giant UFO in New Jersey, ‘like a scene out of Independence Day’

Whoa.

We’ve got our last great Aaron Rodgers moment from the 2023 season of HBO’s Hard Knocks.

After seeing him call out Randall Cobb or trash talk the Giants’ Jihad Ward, we’ve now got the tale of the New York Jets quarterback seeing a UFO in the middle of the night in New Jersey.

Here’s the TL;DR: After a dinner in the Garden State, Rodgers and his friends walked outside and saw a huge object flying across the sky, then they heard fighter jets chasing it. There was nothing in the news about it the next day, but it got him to research UFOs after:

Hey, as long as he doesn’t see ghosts like a past Jets QB, he’ll be great.

Hard Knocks preview clip shows Xavier Gipson finding out he made the 53

Check out Xavier Gipson getting the news that he made the cut

One of the great stories every year in the NFL is watching undrafted free agents scratch and claw their way to what they hope is a spot on the 53-man roster. For the New York Jets, they saw not one, but two undrafted rookies crack the 53 at the wide receiver position. The Jets kept seven wide receivers and Jason Brownlee of Southern Miss and Xavier Gipson of Stephen F. Austin were among the group.

On Tuesday’s episode of Hard Knocks, we’ll get a chance to see one in particular, Gipson, sit down with head coach Robert Saleh and see his reaction when Saleh breaks the news to him that he did in fact make the cut. You can see this clip and the rest of the show Tuesday at 10pm ET on HBO and stream on Max.

Chazz Surratt makes final cut for the New York Jets

Former North Carolina Tar Heel Chazz Surratt appears to have made the final 53-man roster for the New York Jets.

After an impressive preseason performance, former Tar Heel [autotag]Chazz Surratt[/autotag] appears to have made the final 53-man roster for the New York Jets.

It looks like Surratt has found his new home, with multiple reports believing Surratt did enough to make the final cut after he was seen at the Jets practice Tuesday. Surratt joined the Jets last season but has become a fan favorite this off-season, largely thanks to his play on the field and appearance on HBO’s Hard Knocks.

In two games played this preseason, Surratt mustered up seven tackles and an interception that made it onto Hard Knocks.

Surratt was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the third round with the 78th overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Mic’d up Aaron Rodgers was so proud of his trash talk vs. Giants: ‘I never heard of you, bro’

The New York Jets QB was so proud of his trash talk to Jihad Ward.

We’ve heard so much from Aaron Rodgers about himself off the field that we forget that he’s like every other NFL player: When he gets into it with an opponent, he’s going to respond with trash talk or a highlight play.

On Tuesday’s Hard Knocks, we got both. In the New York Jets’ preseason game against the New York Giants, Jihad Ward hit him late and Rodgers protested. Then, the QB hit him with: “I never heard of you” before he threw a touchdown.

Once again, they met up: “Don’t poke the bear. I never heard of you, bro.”

Savage. And what’s even better is Hard Knocks cameras caught Rodgers boasting on the sidelines about it:

This is up there with him calling out Randall Cobb and roasting an ex-Packers coach on the show.

Randall Cobb and Aaron Rodgers joke about preseason blindside hit in Hard Knocks preview clip

“Cobb, he lost all his (expletive) training camp money.”

Tuesday brings episode No. 4 of Hard Knocks with the New York Jets at 10om ET on HBO. NFL Films shared a preview clip on X that focuses on wide receiver Randall Cobb. It was a clip of his blindside hit penalty in the preseason finale against the New York Giants and his wife saying they’ll expect a fine in the mail.

Cobb got back to the huddle and joked with quarterback Aaron Rodgers about the time.

“Cobb, he lost all his (expletive) training camp money,” Rodgers said in the huddle after the play.

“My bad, man,” Cobb replied.

“What are you doing, bro? This ain’t 2014,” Rodgers said.

“I forgot,” Cobb said. “I blacked out.”

This is just another example of the type of close relationship Rodgers and Cobb have and we’ll see more of the relationship as Hard Knocks continues and throughout the season as Cobb starts to take on more of a role in the slot and overall in the offense with Corey Davis now out of football.
