Georgia football quarterback commit Gunner Stockton has broken one of former Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson’s high school records in Georgia.
Stockton, a member of the class of 2022, is a four-star recruit who plays for Rabun County in the state’s AA division. He is the fifth-ranked quarterback in his class.
In Rabun’s win over Grovetown, Stockton scored his 219th career touchdown, which broke Watson’s record of 218.
Rabun County and Stockton have three more games, so he will continue to add to his total. Stockton is a great passer and rusher at the high school level.
The 6-foot-1, 220-pound quarterback originally committed to South Carolina, but changed his mind after the Gamecocks fired Will Muschamp and Mike Bobo left for Auburn.
Stockton still has a chance to set the state record for career passing yards. He is behind Trevor Lawrence, Deshaun Watson, Jake Fromm and Harrison Bailey.
