WATCH! Eagles pull off miracle cover in Week 15 win over Washington

The Eagles trailed with seconds left. Somehow, they scored twice and managed to cover a 6-point spread while winning.

Christmas came early to fans of the Philadelphia Eagles. And those who chose to wager on the Birds in Week 15 in the most improbable form.

Philadelphia trailed 27-24 with less than a half-minute left Sunday in Washington. Not a great sign if you took the favored Eagles and gave Washington six points.

However, the slightest of hope arose when Carson Wentz hit Greg Ward Jr. for a short TD pass to make it 31-27 after the PAT. And, if nothing else, Philly fans would know a victory would keep their beloved Birds in charge of their own playoff destiny.

And, then it happened. Dwayne Haskins gave the gift that will keep bettors living for another game. He fumbled the football as time ran out and Nigel Bradham took the gift to the end zone and the final score was 37-27 as Philly scored 13 points in the final 26 seconds.

Imagine the glee of those who wagered on Philly in the game? Imagine the incredible jubilation of anyone who had picked the Eagles in a knockout pool?
